Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Ive tried the 2014 when Dan had it as a mystery. Personally liked it, and wished I had got a case.
Thanks, always partial to a WA red, it's a shame they have been bought out (the winery) although it's not to say that they mightn't rise from the ashes again, Bruce Dukes was the winemaker so it's little wonder they made a decent drop...cheers, W&D

For those that want something to use $50 for $120 spend CM vouchers on - this doesn't look like a bad choice. Includes free postage.

Premium Red Six $119 + handling fee gets it to $120 spend (With egift and CR came back to $59.31 for me)

Teusner Riebke Mataro 2015
Jim Barry Jb Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Mount Pleasant Home Paddock Shiraz 2014
Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz 2012
Chapel Hill Bush Vine Mclaren Vale Grenache 2013
Laurance Margaret River Icon Cabernet 2013

Most of CM's vouchers (like the $50 I have on hand) excludes 6 bottles cases.

I've never had a problem. In fact, from memory many of the vouchers have actually come with advertisement for 6-packs, and invite you to use the voucher on such 6-pack offers. (ie. the pinnacle pack) even though they state the dozen buy on the vouchers.

I Can't decide if this is a good deal or not. If I were to go for it I would go with

2 x Black Label 09 Cabs
2 x 128 Penfolds 12
2 x WB grey label 2012 Cab/Shi

+ the St Henri

Seems I may have talked myself into it.

I bit on this one too. Went it to Dan's on the way home last night to grab a 6 pack of beer, ended up using a couple of vouchers to grab this 6+1 bundle. I went with 3 each of the 128 and the Black label Cab Sauv (I've got quite a bit of the 2012 grey label and not a fan of the black label Shiraz).

With some Dans vouchers for $60 I got from the Penfolds tasting last month walked away at $27 per bottle which is fair for the 128's and BL's, and very good for the St. Henri. I'll be opening the St.Henri at Christmas I think.

After a few months of not buying any wine, I'm making up for it now...

Did anyone notice how the 2012 Penfolds 128 in that deal went from about $36 the day before to $50 so it makes the deal look better? Seriously sneaky cough from Dans. I noticed because I had put it in my cart the night before and still had the page up with the price the next day. I would imagine they did some similar stupid price increases on the other wines too to try and make the deal look decent.

Thanks for posting - unfortunately they didn't list the 2017 Duke's Vineyard Magpie Hill Reserve Riesling :(

Another riesling to consider, besides these ones, is Gaelic Cemetery Premium Riesling 2017 (GW/JH96, HH90):

eBay has Woolies vouchers at about 15% off... usually these types of vouchers are interchangeable with Dan's and Cellarmasters. Has anyone bought these through eBay before? Woolworths | eBay

Hopefully there'll be a 25% off wine sale soon to combine with Cashrewards :)

Cellarone Christmas Sale starts today

Notable mentions (for me anyway):

2014 St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz - $150 per 6
2013 Croser Picadilly Sparkling - $150 per 6

Also Houghton Wisdom Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 $16.50 (JH95, JO91)

That's some brilliant pricing there. Pretty form that they've put in the 2011 reviews of the Lynch Bages. You really need to wonder why given the 2010 reviews are much more glowing too.
