My travel in 2006

Whilst my travel is modest compared to others here, 2006 will represent my busiest travel year to date, unlikely to be surpassed in future years but who knows...;) so it will be nice to record it here for prosperity:mrgreen:. I will maintain QF Gold and make SQ PPS as a result, splitting my loyalties between OW and *Alliance. As some here would know, SQ J class is my favourite way to travel although I plan to use my SQ points next year to upgrade to F from J class on SQ's A380, one way between SYD-SIN :p

Re: My travel in 2006

Congrats on your upcoming PPS kpc

A better use of Kris Flyer miles is upgrading to asia or europe - not many more points needed than just to Singapore (of course assumes you are flying further afield in the first place).

May update

2 May 06 QF810 PER/ADL (full Y, QF points upgrade to J) (flight credited to AA) [1,351 miles]
3 May 06 QF656 ADL/BNE (full Y, QF poinst upgrade to J) [971 miles]

Only 2 sectors (this month) :( . Both flights credited to AA and many thanks to AA for crediting as J flights :mrgreen:

Total = 23 sectors YTD
QF = 14 (includes QF or QantasLink)
AS = 4 (includes Alaskan and Horizon)
AA = 2
Charter = 3

Points/Mileage May:

QFF = 0 points, 0 miles flown, 0 SC's
AAdv = 2,903 points; 2,322 miles flown; 3,484 EQP's & 2,322 EQM's

Points/Mileage YTD etc:

QFF = 39,034 points; 16,653 miles flown; 270 SC's
AAdv = 12,069 points; 9,784 miles flown; 8,584 EQP's & 9,784 EQM's
(Plat Challenge: 3 sector flown & 6,853 EQP's towards 10K needed)

And the stats are now in for June, barring any last minute adjustments (unlikely):

BNE-PER (QF)
PER-BNE (QF)
BNE-SYD (QF)
SYD-SIN (BA)
SIN-SYD (BA)
SYD-BNE (QF)

Month:
Total: 13226 Miles.
Sectors: 6

Calendar Year to Date:
Total: 64038 miles
Sectors: 48
Carriers Flown: NZ, QF, CX, LA, BA, EI, RE, AY

This month also saw me hit 1200 SC's, so there's WP wrapped up for another year :D

July is very quiet plane wise. Probably just a BNE-SYD return for work...

Congratulations on LTS Ross! ;)

Well, another month behind my desk, courtesy of Peter Costello.

My Platinum Challenge is even in jepoardy unless I pull my finger out... getting away for needed trips to SYD and MEL look unlikely.

Points/Mileage YTD etc:

QFF = 39,034 points; 16,653 miles flown; 270 SC's
AAdv = 12,069 points; 9,784 miles flown; 8,584 EQP's & 9,784 EQM's
(Plat Challenge: 3 sector flown & 6,853 EQP's towards 10K needed)

Congratulations on LTS serfty! When do you start the next DONE4? How many parts to it this time?

I just made my one and only trip this month today on Virgin Blue.

SYD-MEL DJ808
MEL-SYD DJ861

I still haven't found the time to tally up total QF SC's and points, Velocity Points, and miles/sectors travelled for YTD. Yes, I'm lazy. :rolleyes:

I think my July travel will be complete within the next 24 hours.

July

6 flights
10,582 flown miles

YTD

105 flights
224,638 flown miles
34 nights (4+ hours) spent on planes

Well after a bleak few months and the past couple of years of SYD-DBX or SYD-BHH I finally get my first proper business class international flight next month - which sadly only secures my Qantas silver (mind you I at least have Qantas club [and yes I know there are abbrv. but I havent learnt them yet] carried over from my previous employer). Off to Singapore mid August and then the travel finally kicks in - Auckland, Tokyo and New York some time in the next six months - given my status credits are tied into an end of September period I really should have deferred my SIN trip to October ;)

Edit:

Now flying to New York (and then Pittsburg) tomorrow - I will certainly be checking this site once I have an idea of flight details to make sure I work this to the max!!!
