According to reports, coronavirus vaccine is entering its final phase of testing and very soon we will have millions of coronavirus vaccine to be rolled out, hopefully from September.

By then, should a coronavirus vaccine is available, will you vaccinate it?

Personally speaking, as a 30 year old young person, I will not vaccinate myself with Coronavirus, because:

1. It is just a small flu for young people, we won't die;
2. The vaccine is rushed and I cannot guarantee if I vaccinate myself, I will be immune to Coronavirus and not get killed by the vaccine;
3. The coronavirus vaccine is just a step to reopen our borders so that we can travel overseas again.

I am not anti-vaxier, however I only think that Coronavirus vaccine is just a political ticket for politicians to explain to the public that they can now open the international borders again and ease off travel bubbles.

What do you think?

Anti vax or for it. the problem is lack of discernment and critical thinking. If one person has side effects is that not too many???where has our care and humanity gone?
it must be optional- if someone wishes to take an untested, unsafe experimental substance that is their choice. Only a lazy politician or paid up medico would insist it is safe.
it does not take much research with an open mind to see the potential hazards, especially for someone who is already not in great health.If you are in good health then you are no threat.

no one has ever answered this
if vaccines work, why are people afraid of being around someone who isn't????
if they are effective you cant catch whatever it is....leads back to critical thinking perhaps

It's interesting to see how myths around the vaccine start. But also we have to question why some people have an agenda to spread the myths? Just as they claim big business, drug companies and politicians have motives, what are the anti-vaxer's motives? Of the two links you posted, the first one contains information which is unable to be verified... the original poster admits they did not author the article, and cannot provide the source. That becomes evident later in the discussion. The second picture contains a number of inaccuracies, including, for example, that it increases your risk of HIV.

There are a couple of reasons why it is probably a good idea to vaccinate as many people as possible, not just the vulnerable. Firstly, it reduces the severity in those that do get it. That in turn will reduce the resource efforts and costs on our hospitals and their staff. It will free up beds that now need to be used for things like elective surgery that have been put off. The second reason is that there is still potential the vaccines will have a 50% chance of preventing you getting covid in the first place (still to be fully tested I believe). Cutting out 50% of the cases would also be beneficial. A third benefit is that we really don't know the long term implications for those who come out the other end 'healthy'. So there could be another reason to stop people getting it in the first place.

In previous posts you've suggested SARS was a hoax and COVID 'is the same':

... and back in February suggested the instigation of virus 'panic' was linked to a profit motive from a vaccine:

So, 10 months later, is COVID a hoax, perpetuated by vaccine makers for their profit?

If the outlier reactions of some people to various substances were the criteria for banning them, then goodbye to bees (so no more propagation of plants including fruit and vegetables) peanuts, fish, proteins, dairy, and well, you get the gist.

When all else has failed consider the obvious - just anther zombie whose brain has been sucked out by the Zombie Apocalypse. Or at least that's the most sensible explanation I can come up with.

Crtitical thinking would lead you to consider the risks of doing something versus the risks of not doing something. Many things have risks, but the real question is whether the benefits outweigh the risks.

Special entry allowances could be granted for people wanting to come to Australia if they can prove they have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
The federal government is said to be considering granting international travellers and returning Australians an exemption.
A spokesperson from the Health Department has told Nine News the government is considering an international immunisation certificate for overseas travellers as well as alternate quarantine arrangements for returning Australians who have received a vaccine if it is safe to do so.

Hotel quarantine to remain for some time even with COVID-19 jab

The forgers will be out in force soon....

We had to get proof of flu vaccine to enter a Nursing Home. Provided by the pharmacist who gave us the shot and on official Australian papers.

It’s all online in Medicare Express anyway I just showed them my record on my phone :)

UK approves Astra Zeneca. Two full doses, extended to 12 weeks apart, giving best protection. Not published yet publically effectiveness, but good enough for UK to approve.

The BBC website had a bit more info about the effectiveness. The 'official' figure is still 62% as there is not enough "clear data" to support the 1/2 first dose scenario. "However, unpublished data suggests that leaving a longer gap between the first and second doses increases the overall effectiveness of the jab"

I think the increasingly disastrous situation in the UK means that there is no time left to fully refine the dosage situation.

Apparently Australia has to wait until we have an emergency until emergency approval is given. Sigh.

Or you could look at it this way:

1/ The people who need it most are getting it first. Which is not us in Oz. USA just set a record for deaths in a single day. UK is grim.
2/ That other countries are trialling the vaccines for us.
3/ Emergency approval means that the process is being rushed (though for good reasons in some countries). Australia does not need to rush with the higher risks.
