Vinomofo Wine Deals

Previously offered October last year, same deal number, doesn't appear in a search here though.

If no identifies it by tomorrow I'll let you know what it is after my Forum members have a chance to look at the re-listing.
I went through all of HH's 2015 Barossa Shiraz (132) and the only one at that price was the Sons of Eden Romulus, which is $70 on the website and not single vineyard. Also 14.5%, not 14.7%. So no help.

42nd Barossa Wine Show 2018 - Results: 2015 'The Vision’ Shiraz—1919 First Planting—Single Vineyard Class 11 Premium - Vintage 2015 and Older. Not scored (and obviously no award) just how good is this wine as I find very little to go on in terms of online coverage?

Have a look at the other "no award' wines there too, not necessarily a good indicator.
There are no reports on my Forum of anyone having bought/tried this from last time it was offered.
Under cork, so little interest from me, although it could be Diam I suppose.

I think what I intended by my remark RB is that there is scant info out there on this particular drop i.e. the fact that it was represented in this category still tells you nothing, Vivino isn't much use either, I find it hard to take seriously someone who uses "pallet" instead of "palate" in their review or describes a shiraz as "Buttery, woody really fantastic!" which is quite likely their summation of a chardonnay not a shiraz.

Yeah, small maker, only about 64 dozen of this made each year, unlikely to have wide reviews.
I'm sure there are some good reviewers on Vivino, but I don't care to spend the time to work out who they are and only use Vivino sometimes if it comes up in a last-ditch google search.
You can always send it back.

Instant Classic. In the immortal words of MeatLoaf...You took the words right out of my mouth.
I also took to Vivino to look for any info.

Nothing particularly special about this apart from it coming wrapped in paper and in a very fancy bottle - the cork is not Diam. I think the second reviewer had a better attempt at it on Vivino. There is no way I'd pay $80 for this wine and I have purchased better Barossa Shiraz on VM at half the price that this one is currently going for.

Thanks very much for taking one for the team. Saved me from ordering it.

Ironstone overpriced. Cheaper elsewhere including at grays.
They have ACJ at $35 and War Horse at $45 pre-release in six packs.. Probably a better deal with those two, I might have to head over to the share a case thread and see if anyone in Melbourne wants to split one...
