The "I am in self-isolation" thread

The weather has been PERfect in PERfection for a long time. I've hardly changed my life, except for not being able to go to gym - just doubled up at the beach instead. :)

That's set to change next week, with the onset of a couple of good cold fronts (great for the farmers :)) - but I now have clearance to cross intra-state boundaries into the Goldfields (which is BIG: COVID-19 coronavirus: Regional travel restrictions).

Right at this moment, I was due to be sitting in QSuites CBR-xSYD-DOH and on to Bucharest. Gaaahhh!😖😖

Consolation prize: opportunity to give my one-week old 4WD a really good burn to add to the 400 clicks on the clock... 😁
Perfect as long as you don't run into 10yos running around Cottesloe with tomahawks, or knife wielding lunatics in a shopping centre! :( :D

@OATEK that was yesterday and Cottesloe is a bad area of PERth.
We are getting ready to come out of hibernation now that virus cases are closer to zero now around WA.

The lock-down has at last given me time to do a job i was putting off for a long time, de-dusting all my old die-cast aircraft collection. I told the kids it was a fog slowly building up but they didn't buy it. Took four hours but fun going through the old liveries, aircraft and long gone companies. Favourite is the Il-62 which i can remember the actual ones taking off from Mascot about 7:30 every Tuesday morning. All clean now. Sad the company, Schabak which made the 1:600 models, are gone.
start of the de-dusting

As I mentioned up thread I have not had to be in the mandatory 14 day isolation period but after 9 weeks of been stuck at home I am going slightly mad. 2 weeks back my hair was getting longer so I started to play around.

Last night I fixed the problem, hopefully it will grow back.

Quarantining again in Tasmania and I must say they are being very industrious about ensuring I stay home.
I've been home for twelve days and I've had three visits from the SES and one from the police. It's nice to feel wanted :)

I am now able to work from home as of Wednesday just gone. So when I got home on Tuesday night I have decided to stay put indefinitely. I then got a message on Signal from my next door neighbour advising that him and his son has been diagnosed with the virus. We don't have any contact due to me commuting but still when it's so close to home... Oh the joys of living in Northern Melbourne....
