SCs to be earned on Velocity Reward bookings (6mo promotion) [AusBT]

The exact conditions say that this promo is for flights between 13 Jan and 30 June. Does that include 30 June?

I'm about to book a few J Reward seats myself. Does anyone have any experience yet on whether the multi-city itineraries are posting SC's per sector, or as the crow flies? If the former then my points balance is about to plummet and its hello Plat re-equal :D

A stupid/quick question - would/does this include Reward seats on Virgin Australia NZ flights (i.e. trans tasman)? They have VA flight numbers, but everything has VA flight numbers now...

I did "F4" as a rewards flight in J on Sunday (similar in points cost, routing, SC earn and taxes to A1 except origin was further south).

SC's have already posted.

Whole experience with VA was superb - with one exception...

When I received the flight reminder (via email at T-48), it stated the flight was direct (not connect).

I called and explained that I needed to make it to [connection point] to sign paperwork before heading to [destination] to get it countersigned by the vendor, and that's the reason I originally booked the flight.

- Call centre put the flight back into the system, but it was listed as "Unconfirmed"
- Service desk in Melbourne (on Friday evening before I flew out) said "Everything looks fine! 'Unconfirmed' is nothing to worry about."
- Received a phone call on Saturday morning about it, and the flights were fixed.

Flew out on Sunday without a hitch.

Now qual'd for SG, and on-track for WP by May.

What is it with airline call centres. I had the same problem with Virgin Atlantic the other week. (The Australian call centre) I was simply making an inquiry re the possibility of changing and before I new it she had changed the flight and was going to charge me more. I told her that I was only making an inquiry at this stage. She went and changed it without me telling her to do it and then when I said "thanks but no thanks" she then said I would have to pay more to change it back. After a little tit for tat she changed it back for the same price... They obviously don't listen half the time. Having said that when I made this original booking which was with the UK call centre the lady at the other end was fabulous. Friendly patient, new what she was talking about, asked a few questions about Australia etc... It was a very pleasant experience.

I know the feeling! Both you and lobo76 may be interested in reading this thread as well!

This is a bit of a problem. If a pax books a routing, surely they're entitled to be left with that chosen routing except in very obscure circumstances (weather perhaps being one), which common courtesy would then dictate a phone call first.

Totally agree!
I have some very important meetings at MEL, SYD and BNE on my next award bookings

Probably worth baring in mind that Velocity have no experience with SCs being earned by sector until last month, they have no experience with SC being earned on reward flights until last few weeks either and they have a booking system that has been borking up all sorts of things. I wouldn't be surprised if there are people there that actually think they're doing you a favour by switching it to a direct route.

Under the terms and condition as they currently are written I would say Yes, but check with the call centre.

I hope so, I just booked 2 x return flights x 2 pax to RAR for this exact reason.

Now I am paranoid.... I checked out the Terms and Conditions and although they don't mention NZ it complies with all conditions. As well if they are only referring to the Australian flights why would they mention Premium Economy. As far as I know they no longer offer Y+ in Australia. (although I will stand corrected on that):?:

I guess so, but here is also that old addage "the customer is always right".

Alternatively, what if someone want's their roof painted charcoal colour. They return home to find the painter has instead done it white because he thought they'd be better off with the cooler reflective roof? I wonder what the customer might say?

Fingers X'd... is there any way yo get an answer on that?

If I could dig up this thread to seek confirmation whether or not Points + SC's are accrued during this current '15% off Reward Seats' promo, or is it just SC's?

I ask as I've read mixed reports.
Cheers.
