I've got the option to now choose 43A/B/C/H/J/K but will stick with 44G unless I see 43D/G open up.

Probably says something about my thought processes, but every time I see this thread I think of underpants.

Thanks lurker, I've moved some of my party forward from 44 to 43 - no fee :)

Ahh happy days.
Good to see QF come to their collective senses - as long as it's a permanent change.
Thanks for letting us know.

Another data point on this subject re: row 44.

Brilliant is all i can say. Was fortunate enough to have the entire row to myself on QF17 the other day and needless to say had the best transcon Y experience yet with a solid 7 hours sleep.

Upon checking in at the counter the agent asked if I was aware I had selected a row with no recline. I confirmed with her which seat (44G) to which she confirmed had no recline. I balked and said no I'm sure it has recline, the same as other Y seats (as per Captain Halliday's most excellent reconnaissance mission) and decided to stick with it based on the information here and not the agent.

Glad I did as row 44 is brilliant, more so if your preference is forward aisle and you don't like the immovable armrests aka row 43 and the recline is exactly as discussed in this thread.

Anyone have thoughts on 55D,E,F,G on QF15 ?
we're a family of 4 so we want to sit together. all of 43&46 are taken.

It is well past T-80 and annoyingly the entire row 43 is still showing as blocked to a Gold passenger.

I'm not sure whether this is the most appropriate thread, however, I will be on QF 73 to SFO on 4th Nov. I believe it is a 3 class 744. What are the best seats in Y for a family of 4? We're happy to pay for exit-row seats. All bronze. Thanks.

So do people advise booking 44DG to try and block this, or for 43HK / 43DG and then try to sneak back once all pax are on?
