Qantas site a mess

Working ok for me - albeit on some random searches just to test.

Anyone still having problems with the classic award bookings and points required calculations? I am looking at flights from MEL-HEL J one way which I believe should be 140k. No availability when I look as a one way award. When I try as a multi-city (stop less than 24 hours) MEL-NRT and NRT-HEL, there is availability and it is telling me I need 150k.

Update: I think it is because I was using QF for the first leg and JL for the second.

Yes, swapping airlines on different tables will add miles rather than a through fare.

Matters certainly don't seem to have improved, if anything the functionality of the website seems to have deteriorated as I'm getting more error messages than ever.

I notice a few routes are unavailable for booking award flights. For example xx_-MLE works, but MLE-xx_ won't (MLE can't be selected as a departure airport).

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

And DOH of course. But I understand that's because Qantas doesn't have a 'T&C ' agreement with the respective countries such that the fares and taxes for flights originating there can be quoted and charged on line. For onece, I think, the web kids are innocent. ;)

Having issues where the QF website is pricing multi-city reward bookings separately rather than per the combined distance of flights (appears to only occur when booking partner airlines, recently did a multi-city QF award with no problems). Surprised it still happens after 2 years. The general consensus here appears to be booking via phone and demanding the booking fee waived.

With that said, just to confirm, am I allowed to combine different partner airlines in one partner classic reward booking and maintain the combined distance cost (assuming layovers under 24 hours), and additionally can QF be one of them?

If you include multiple airlines from the Partner Classic Flight Reward table they will price each airline separately. It's not a glitch, sadly. If you only have one airline from that table, it will be a distance-based price.
This doesn't apply to QF/EK/AA and other airlines in the Qantas Classic Flight Reward table, which you can combine at will.
