I don't think all those AsiaPacific countries have ICH hotels either.

Have to admit my favorite is the Anartica IC, followed by the Nuku'alofa Crowne Plaza where they do a mean Tuna burger .

Example, book HI Gold coast 5K points + $60USD, cancel, you get 15K of points credited back, you then book CP Adelaide for two nights using those 10K of points that cost you $60USD. Last year a friend of mine had 4 nights at the IC Burswood that cost him USD$30 a night!

Howdy, just require some clarification before booking (I need alot of re-assurance :D) as may have to modify dates slightly... Planning trip to Beijing in Oct, can see rate at HI for 5000 points plus $30 which i think means my PC points balance will be deducted 5000 worth and i fork out $30 from my CC. I can't see any T/C for refund cancellations of rewards stays before i proceed with booking. Am I at least guaranteed 10000 points back if I cancel this reward booking, and if lucky... the extra 5000 totalling 15000? Thanks.

The purchase of points is final, however a points booking can be cancelled and in that case all the points needed including those purchased are put back into your account.

Holiday Inn.com still had it at times yesterday, it was coming and going all yesterday, maybe it has gone for good, I would not be surprised. At this stage it appears to be a glitch though, if you go to holidayinn.com and do a search with a rate preference of reward nights it comes up.

Not for me - I first noticed it on the holidayinn.com site.

I have no issues, and it went through OK:

That screenshot shows how poor value the CP Surfers is at times LOL

Interestingly it's showing USD as the rate. I had not noticed that before.

However, it's still not working properly even with the www.holidayinn.com web site.

I have ~15,300 points and when I try cash and points as 15,000 and USD60 I get an error message saying I do not have enough points.

Re: Double Points/Miles for Q3/4

Double Points Promotion

20 September - 31 December 2010

If I have a stay which spans across the period where the promotion starts, in this case 12th September - 24th September, will this count towards the 1st qualifying stay ?

Yes, as it goes on checkout date AFAIK.

Markis, I saw your earlier screen shots of the HI Gold Coast when compared with the CP Gold Coast. The CP GC has some very good deals, I am going to a conference in early Nov and got a basic room for $125, which was alot cheaper than HI GC. I personally think the CP is the better Hotel but its not as good in terms of location with the HI closer to the action in Surfers proper. The conference is being held at Conrad Jupiters so the CP is handy for me, just a short taxi ride.

I also noticed that the HI Bris rooms seem to be expensive for what the hotel is. I stayed there late last year on reward night and to be honest the room was average. I guess they will get around to a refurb one day. I also think the location is poor, but I guess being at the transit centre may suit some. Is there some refurb rooms at the HI Bris that I dont know about yet?

R

The HI BNE is starting a refurb at present, while the rooms are not great the service is and location good, for BNE the rates are not bad.

2703 = get 1000 bonus every night for 60 days, works on bookings that have already been made!

So you make a booking and you get points ?

Not quite, you have to check in, the point I was making was that it applied to reservations made before you registered for the offer, often the promos dont, I had a 9 month old booking for Riverfire last weekend and the bonus credited despite registering for it two weeks!
