Loving the calculator! This will save me hours of flicking between GCMaps, Excel and the QF Earning tables! I've got a heap of travel coming up over the next few months, and the only leg I couldn't find was AA HKG-DFW.

I think QF need to have a lunch where we can tell them the fixes required for the new calculator.

They had a lunch yesterday to launch qantaspoints.com, might have to wait 6 months for another lunch.

IE9 seems to be the culprit then as thats what we have here at work. Will try on Chrome at home!

Thanks guys

I have the same issue as you Nug300, using IE9 at work where I have no option to update the browser! I just thought the site was down until it occurred to me to check here with the experts, d'oh!

I also couldn't get it to work on my iPad until I read the suggestions here, so thanks guys. Now just need them to get MH on the calculator. (Yes I still fly with them!)

Update: I see now that MH is on the calculator. I couldn't see it before because the display is so flaky on the iPad. Really Qantas? We do much more extensive user testing before a new software release in my smallish government department!

The lunch would be nice, but all Lesley would say is that she stands by the new calculator as being simpler and fairer (TM) and Jason would run around saying - well, who knows what ;) .

There would be gifts on departure of atlases with QFi routes marked on them. They would be small.

The funniest bit of that is that Jason's the one who thought this was simpler because under the old system if all routes were listed individually the list was taller than him. Trouble is the new system makes listing out individual routes even more of a requirement along with the operating airline. As evidenced by the new calculator.

Thanks for the post, which I have just found. The calculator may be the best thing QF has done for a long time. I finally have a simple way to calculate how far short of retaining WP status I will be in my next year as a result of all the other changes.

And I am intrigued with the fact that J on BA ATH-LHR seems to earn as many status credits as J on CX SYD-HKG. I have a few BA flights early next year, and it has been good to see what the earn will be, although of course very frustrating to see the SCs generally between 50-60% of what they once were with partner airlines.

An even better return is my BA J IST-LHR (1565mi) ... it will earn 80SC.

Yep, that's where my bookmarked new calculator goes to.

What a running balls-up this airline is.

Maybe it's just an enhancement to the New QF Points Calculator and not the old one back again

You know the old saying - what's old is new again :D

It looks like they have finalised the details for the next round of enhancements - changing the partner point-earns into the Qantas "simplified" structure. If anyone is looking to book discount Y with partners, you might want to do it now before the earning is simplified.

It is up and down like a yoyo. Back to the "new Calculator" now with Partner options available!!!

Thought it might have been down while they added extra partners, as it seems to now include the following carriers: QF, BA, AA, CX, EK, JQ 3K.

Still hoping for AY to eventually appear.
