Credit Card Offers NAB Qantas Signature Visa card - $250 cashback and 100,000+30,000 Qantas points

my points just landed, bang on the 3rd statement date. presuming i now have to wait another month for the cash back (which kinda sucks), but oh well...

Seems like from our experiences, the bonus points are awarded a full statement after the minimum spend criteria is met and the cashback is awarded the statement after.

ie. Minimum spend criteria met in between 1st and 2nd statement - bonus points awarded at the 3rd statement (other cards will generally award it at the 2nd) and cashback at the 4th.

I guess it's still all within the promised "up to 3 months" after the minimum spend is met.

The anniversary points though is slightly better (in theory), "An additional xx,xx_ bonus Qantas Points will be awarded when you continue to hold your card for 12 months, credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership Account within the 13th month."

I'll be holding onto my current Premium card until I get the anniversary points. For just the annual fee of $295, it's better than other cards where you need another $4k+ spend to get the 2nd years' worth of points.

It's not bad if you're otherwise getting value out of the card but the $0.0007 / point sign on bonus is quite a bit better than $0.0140 / point year 2 retention bonus with the QANTAS Rewards Signature.

I submitted a formal complaint because mine hadn't come yet - they said they'd add a one off $250 credit to my account, as well as my actual $250 credit that they say will continue to be added to my account whenever the system gets around to it. So as far as I can tell, I have actually profited on my annual fee?!

So your AF is -$180 and your cost per point is -$0.0018 per point. Not too bad of an outcome.

This is a new one to me. Mrs Rich started an application for this card 3 months ago but things got in the way and it expired.
Re-applied today and was immediately rejected (entered name, previous name, job title, reason for applying only). No credit check I don't think. This is a new one to me and I am guessing because of the expired application, but that seems a bit ridiculous.
And no, on the question of why do you want to apply for this card, she didn't select "to make up for shortfalls to pay bills" or whatever it was.
Anyway a change to Bank of Melbourne where the offer was not quite as good was painless with immediate approval, as her income is paid into that bank. Hopefully it won't be too late to get PC+ which is the reason for applying.

Applied for a NAB Qantas Signature Visa for +1...she currently has no cards and before sign up bonuses get reduced...painful application process as +1 could not answer a lot of the Qs :( ...after 1/2 hour, thought she would never get approved for the mininum 15K limit, but pressed submit anyway.

Screen said someting about sending something which I thought were her payslips...but no it was saying they will be sending the credit card!! Looked again...approved! Easy 100k Qf pts and another 30K if keep card open 2nd year.... :) :)

After a false start where the website auto-declined me before asking me a single question relating to finances or my identity, I called and completed the application over the phone and was approved a few hours later. The agent mentioned $100 off the annual fee for existing customers. I appear to have an unused transaction account sitting in my internet banking do assume I qualify. In any event, looking forward to receiving the initial 100k bonus points, cashback and then closing.

This was exactly my experience. Bonus points awarded at the third statement after minimum spend met in month 2. Now just awaiting the cashback.

Data point:
This 4th statement period ended 23rd July. $250 credit on 23rd July on that statement. Standard and bonus points in Qantas account on 24th July.
I'd spent $4k+ combined in the first two statements; another $4k+ in the 3rd. $1k in the 4th. I don't know whether any of the transactions were excluded for the delay in bonus points.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere - apologies if it has - the NAB website states the points earn decrease for every $ spent from 1 October 2026:

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of holding onto this card as a keeper after retirement, but not now. I might stick with the Qantas Money Platinum Card for purchases where I don't use my Qantas AMEX

Card came earlier this week....need to spend $5000 before 1 October to meet bonus points threshold and the brutal point earn reduction on spending post1 October. Not sure it is worth keeping the card for the extra 30 K Qf points with the 2nd year annual fee of $425 (

30k points will be close to the norm for 1st year sign up bonus points post 1st October so something to think about.

Also will look better on her credit report keeping the card open for say 18min instead of just 6 or so.
