Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Having made an effort with SC earn this year, managed to get to WP last weekend.
Congrats! Welcome to the club

I do want to check one thing, for upcoming flight, can I guest a friend into QF J and then a separate friend into QF F?
I don't see why not. I mean it is not always ok, but if you ask nicely, I'm sure they'd consider. I have had some success in taking more than allowed number of adults in to domestic J lounges (more than a few times) and all I did was ask nicely. Also take into account how busy the lounge might be (depending on the time of day).

Although come to think of it - I don't think the IT systems in the J and F lounge are linked? So even though they scan the BP at entry, at J first, drop your mate and then go to F and scan your BP again, I don't think it makes much of a difference.

Good luck.

Congrats @elanshin 🥳

I am flying Qantas from Sydney premier economy via Santiago Chile to Sao Paulo in Brazil. Will I be able to access Latam lounge in Santiago as Qantas club member. I found he QANTAS website confusing.

Anyone tried guesting +2 lately into QF F in SYD and any success? I know this is always subject to availability and person at the door, but just wanted to see what if there were any successful cases recently.

LATAM left one world in 2020. All benefits including partner lounge visits have finished. QF points is all that remains..

That’s not entirely correct. QF FFs still get lounge access in SCL as a reciprocal arrangement. I don’t believe that extends to QP however.

Does that reciprocal arrangement apply to QC membership. Unfortunately, these days I am only a silver ff, although I have lifetime qc MEMBERSHIP.

I am travelling premier economy (although qantas). There are some articles that indicate LATAM is offering lounge access to their premier economy flyer. It will be intteresting to see whether this applies to codeshare. I have a 10 hour layover in SCL starting at 3am. I will probably exit the airport and go to a nearby holiday inn. thanks for the advice.

You’ll need to apply online for a visa to enter Chile before you fly. It’s a ~$175…

If transiting and staying airside, you don’t need the visa.

Good thought. I will also check to see whether I can pay for lounge access in international.

Hello, I will be travelling on QF 76 departing YVR (Vancouver) as Qantas Platinum. Is there any lounge access available for this flight? I know there is a CX lounge at pier D but I have no idea if QF leaves from the same location?

The implication of his link is that QC membership will get you access to the LATAM lounge. However, if you follow the check eligibility link it takes you on a circular journey back to the same spot without really confirming that QC gives access. It is nice to have such clear communication. I will report back after my June trip.

Qantas currently uses the Skyteam lounge in Vancouver:

It's worth noting that QF previously gave access to the Plaza Premium lounge although the main one is closed and it's just a temporary facility hence QF is using Skyteam instead. Whilst the CX lounge is in the same pier, it won't be open before the QF departure as it only opens ~4 hours prior to Cathay departures.
