Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Id just go to the lounge for your departure terminal. I wouldnt bother getting there earlier or waste time changing terminals just to use the AA F lounge.

Very much disagree.

If you have <60 minutes before departure (<30 minutes before boarding) - then yes, go straight to the AC in the departure terminal.

But if you have more than that, it's definitely worth going to the Flagship lounge. It's so much better than the ACs (you really won't get any substantial food in an AC) and it doesn't take long on the train.

Good advice, thanks. I've been to the QF lounge before, but hadn't realised that there was a CX F lounge. Or perhaps it is new since I was last there in early 2020.
The CX first lounge at LHR predates COVID by some years; ISTR it was operational before the Qantas lounge.

As for DFW, I agree with those WP's who'd use the Flagship Lounge if possible; with the caveat that I aim to be at the Gate in whatever terminal 45 minutes before scheduled departure.

How'd you go @danban? I have a similar issue in the near future.

I'm QRWP/OWE (from VA status match) and VAWP but flying whY with the family.

Another bloke above has suggested that children <12 aren't counted as guests but I read the velocity in the same as you - 1 guest (inclusive of children). So only one guest regardless of age.

Interested to hear how you went.

G'Day Travellers,

I was reading an executive traveller article recently that suggested BA Business class passengers can access the Qantas International Business lounge in addition to The House by Aspire. Is this true? Anyone able to confirm?

Also, any one know if The House is recommenced à la carte dining?

Many thanks in advance,

FD

Why not try both lounges? :)

What Oneworld Status do you have?
It shouldn’t matter. A BA J ticket (or OW equivalent) will generally get you into any OW J lounge. Mind you, based on criticism of the QF J lounge, The House might be the better option? Or try both and finish in the one closest to the departure gate?

Of course, it gets better in SIN, if going onto to LHR or when returning, a BA J boarding pass gets you into the BA lounge, QF J lounge and probably the pick would be the QR premium lounge.

The QF Singapore Lounge(s) open at 2:30PM, so presuming you’re on the 3K SIN-DPS flight at 3:35PM, you should just make it in for a quick freshen up and a maybe drink or two. Come March, as @serfty said; 3K leaves T1 and there’s then no option that time would al

Hi,
My dad is flying SYD-LHR on QF1 followed by a leg to WAW on BA. It’s all on the same ticket, so the bags will get checked all the way to WAW. The QF flight is in J and the BA flight in Y.
What’s everyone’s thoughts on lounge access in Heathrow before the BA flight? He has no status.

Cheers
LP

Yep, per oneworld rules Airport Lounges: oneworld Lounges & Airport Lounge Access. Ensure he keeps his QF1 boarding pass,

  • First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul (a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours) and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa).
  • Lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
  • You must be prepared to show your boarding pass or itinerary showing travel in First or Business class on the international long haul flight, in order to access the lounge before your international short haul or domestic flight.

I have 3 x QF reward flights from NAN to LAX in J on FJ.

We will have onward paid economy flights to Las Vegas. Am I right in thinking that if the onward flight to Las Vegas is on a One World airline we will have lounge access in LAX - even though FJ is only a One World Connect member?

I suspect no one else jumped in on your question because it’s probably the first time this specific question has been asked.

I assume your onward flight is on AA? Reading the convoluted OW Connect rules, I suspect you won’t get Lounge access but there are reviews and reports of peeps getting access 💁.

I just saw that AA is becoming an FJ “sponsor”, so that might help depending on when you’re actually flying.

Either-way, try your luck at the QF J lounge at TBIT and/or the AA Admirals Club in T4.

Hopefully someone else here has first hand experience.

Question about access to Qantas domestic lounge in Perth.
Scenario:
Gold status passenger
QF boarding pass
EK booking using Skywards miles to purchase QF ticket
Will I be allowed in the QF domestic lounge pre-departure in both Perth and Sydney? Flight is PER-SYD-PER
It will make a difference because the flight times mean for logistics, I would prefer to arrive early and wait in the airport rather than time it to minimise waiting time.
