IS FT dead?

been very slow for me all day and down an hour or so ago, just popped back up now (not sure for how long)
 
I'm really tired of the unreliability of FT. The fact that it doesn't work properly with (unfortunately) more than 90% of visitor browsers is just the start.

They need to dump whatever 386 is running that site, sack their IT staff and get someone reliable in. It really is poor form, this has been going on for nearly 2 YEARS now! :evil:
 
It's okay now; I'm always dreading the day it is cut off from our proxy, so I'm happy that hasn't yet occurred. :)

I hope that CitiBank implements its forward-dated BPay option soon, so that I have some local news to read here. ;) Maybe pre-Christmas?

I am eternally grateful for Kiwi's trip reports, which are always worth a look here. The Jetstar Intl. reports are also appreciated, as I'm mentally preparing for the conditions of a 9-10hr jail cell detention!
 
I suspect today's issue are to do with general internet bandwidth difficulties following the Taiwan earthquake, since US & europe based FTers are not experiencing any problems with FT, and also many other websites are experiencing problems today. Today is the first day back from holiday for many so a real test of system.

I thought they were pretty much getting over that problem now. I do know that communications with parts of Asia were terrible over the New Year period, but had seemed to improve in the last few days.
 
Yeah I had noticed they'd improved last week and weekend, but yesterday was terrible at many sites. Will see how it goes today.
 
I had some trouble this morning around 9.45am BNE time, but no troubles later this PM or tonight.

I have no idea why, but sometimes I have to do this as well on FT. And sometimes when I shut down I get an alert saying the Window is Busy. Seems quite specific to FT (and I am strongly suspecting its all in the way the menu stuff works)
 
Thankfully, I know my stuff bravoecho and oz_mark. 1 passed at Intermediate level, 5 at Advanced.

2 exams to go today and all over...want to get advanced on them both as they are product and regulatory.
