Either way, the site is like molasses at the moment!

I think that is overstating its resonsiveness at the moment. Pity, the expedia thing sounds interesting

I think that last weekend some major changes were introduced. When you do connect, log on and enter via "My Fyler Talk", say to the QF forum you get the URL as
Code:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=0d2648b3ff16e9f778a1287840373f01&f=498
They have added a session hash key (The s=...) which varies from session to session.

Last week the URL was simply:
Code:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=498
Another thing I have noted is the behavior of the IE New Window (CTRL-N) function, you need to log on again. However, this may relate to the slowness more than the changes. Anyway, that is conjecture.

Somehow the changes appear to have created a major stuff up; it will be interesting to see what may happen over the weekend.

Try this!

I seem to be able to browse using it. To enter a post you can try to log on; however this seems to invoke the molasses effect.

The web2 url seems to work intermittently. Working fast then drop out. Takes several goes to get back in then working fine for a while then back out, wash and repeat.

No need to wait until the weekend; the old software has been reinstated and FT is now working fine!

Yes, it's still good at this time in the evening.

When they have long outages, its generally a Monday morning (Sunday night USA time). So given the timing I doubt the outage is due to an upgrade or other planned change.

The web address advised by Kiwi Flyer worked for me...but no traffic on QF Forum since Antiqantas at 11.36 this morning...so I logged off and came back here.

Yes, this is much more interesting that feeding the trolls over at FT :P .

Was interesting to see the "Is FT Down" thread here, and the "Is QF Web Site Down" thread on FT. I wonder if the cycle is complete and QF have a thread asking if AFF is down?

I hope FT isnt down as long as the current QF website problems. I need to get some contact details and other arrangements off my PMs for my trip.
