www.flyertalk.com was ok around 3 hours ago, but just recently did the molasses trick.

web2 still works properly.

Wonder why it always seems to happen over the weekend? Does the FT staff do routine Reboots of their servers during the week and then take the weekend off? Or is it just that people tend to have more free time over the weekend and thus can surf their favourite sites... Hmmm. Don't know!

Dunno, but the regularity with which it occurs certainly suggests that something isn't right with their servers.

FT has grown considerably over the past few years. I only joined a couple of years ago when there were 25,000 members and just a couple of million or so posts. Now there are 80,000 members (and many more who lurk without joining) and over 5 million posts, plus a lot more functionality added (reviews, wiki, etc).

...or just a capacity problem, but I do get the feeling that something is cleaning itself up properly..

FT seems to be down again, or at least having issues. Cant reply, cant view some posts and threads.

Took me forever this morning to get a reply to post. I would have given up, but it had taken me so long to compose the damn thing, I persisted.

And it's behaving itself again.

The website has been incredibly flakey recently.
