I though FT was doing some maintenance on their search facility. I got the impression that it would cause some down time...

Remember that its now Sunday evening in the USA, so perhaps a maintenance window for their upgrades etc??

I found FT flakey over here for the past few days. Today it went down at around 11.00am US EST, its now 8.00pm... Thats one big window.

In the past, when doing major upgrades etc, they have shutdown for an entire weekend.

And if its unplanned outage may be Monday before restored anyway.

Dead for me these last couple of days. Prior to that, the Search function was disabled. Sounds like they have a server capacity problem.

It has been working today; with search function showing (although I have not used it yet).

At least 6 datacenters in usa had hardware upgrades on sunday ...but rather odd that only FT was down

Think FT has been overloaded with the Expedia debacle.

Im having withdrawals not knowing today’s episode of "Expedia cancelled my prepaid confirmed booking" fiasco.

Haha! Yes. Good reading.

Don't know who to barrick for. Should I side with Expedia when I read about the people who booked months of hotel stays just because they could? Or should I side with the ones who booked a week at the hotel and Expedia's treatment of them....

Choices, choices!

FT seems to be down again. At first looked like just one server but now cant access either.

Working for me this morning, albeit a little slow to open some pages.

Painfully slow again this evening.

Slow to non existant - and I was just thinking it was my equipment at home and an overloaded office server.

It's been coming and going for me.
All the more reason to read and post here instead 8) .

Indeed, this board has been much more reliable over the last few months. As suggested by others, I suspect they have capacity problems over at FT
