I never thought I'd say this - I'm back with FlyBuys

Sure enough, shopped at Coles this morning and bought the margarine ($4) and hot cross buns ($3) for work morning teas next week (so 30 and 40 bonus points for shopping I actually needed).

Chocolates were an absolute rip off ($5 for bag of mini eggs, $7 for medium sized eggs) so discarded that idea - poor value IMHO

My receipt has triple points on a single shop promo at the bottom (valid until 25 April) - might utilise that next week.

Off to Liquorland this afternoon on my way home for a bottle of wine to score the next lot of bonus points - $20 for 1K bonus points is worthwhile

Little bonus points are sweet:

Ended up doing exactly that this morning on a $36 shop. Purposely keeping the shops low to trigger better offers (spend hurdle). Best thing was another triple point offer at the bottom of todays receipt. Will throw that onto Mrs QF WP's shop next week ;)

Flybuys have been pushing bonus offer after bonus offer at me (multiple triple points or Liquorland offers) but I will bide my time to take any unless I can take advantage.

I've had a lot of product based offers recently, but I haven't been able to use most of them. There have been very few really useful offers.

I thought it was joke the other day when Coles were advertising on the back of the receipts that you could stack multiple flybuys offers in one transaction. You've always been able to do this however just as they've advertised this, they've removed many of the ways of doing this. Most of us (me included) don't have coupons at the moment and the docket deals have almost dried up.

Yes, I ignore the "here are the lower prices on items we've seen you've purchased in the past" as well as similar products. I'll buy what I want, when I want. I'm not going to buy for the sake of a couple of bonus points (like the Heinz Big red offer).

Tantalising Coles at the moment - not taking up all the offers I am given (some of which I don't even register) and letting some lapse (like the $70 spend hurdle, nice to see they have been coming down from $100, to $80, to $70 on each of the last three successive offers). Not interested until it gets down to a much lower figure.

Went this morning and had a 10x points offer from last shop docket for Soft Drinks (valid until 7 June). Bought some for home together with some other items and credited to my wife's card and personal CC.

Then used an offer on my card (10x bonus points for Olive Grove margarine as I actually needed to buy) together with some regular small purchases for work on my card and used business CC.

I love playing this game :D ;)

Edit: Just noticed one of my dockets has a bonus point offer - 750 points for $80 (before COB 13 June). Don't think I want to utilise lest Coles think I'll do that every shop ;)

So why would they email me this:

If when I click on activate now it says:

There are no current offers".

Really, you should activate links BEFORE you send out offers FlyBuys

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

One of my family got the triple points offer but they were able to activate the offer.

I've heard of the problem you have described.

Hopefully flybuys will have fixed the issue by tomorrow and the activation link will work.

I'm already holding onto a triple point voucher from the bottom of one of my recent purchases that has validity far in excess of the "no offer" I got above.

I'll shop when I am ready to enter a Coles, not when they want me to (trying to change my habits).

I do love it when all the FlyBuys stars align. Nice bonus point haul from a required shop of $82.70

After that massive haul, I swapped cards and put in a $21 shop this week on my wife's card. Wasn't going to get the $50 spend so that will lapse.

Don't think I'll be utilising the standard 750 bonus flybuys points for $80 spend that expires today. I'd like to see a little lower....

I understand! I am so stocked up on groceries after the last 4x$80 spend it's getting ridiculous. All I need this week (and probably next week too!) is milk. Although I see that Jordan's museli is half price in the new catalogue which starts tomorrow, and I have a 200 bonus points offer...

At least my husband's card has enjoyed a nice month off ;-)

I Still can't work out why i never get ant targeted offers. All i get is product sale info on savings. I have every single box ticked on my profile but never get challenges or bonuses. Maybe i spend too much at Coles.

My husband gets waaaaay fewer than I do, I just assume it's because I take them up more often? which is kind of a catch-22... (although I am jealous of DrRalph's offer of 100x points for purchasing mandarins!)

I think someone suggested unticking all of the options on your profile, waiting a day and then ticking them again? Or maybe that was for velocity / bp offers
Have you a partner you can sign up for a second card to give yours a rest? Or shop elsewhere enough to disrupt your pattern?

Well last week was excellent for collecting points - just sad I didn't get to $200 on Sunday 29th to collect 4K points

Although I am halfway to collecting 2K points for over $50 shop this week and next. Can't win everytime.

Ah yes, I love a good piggy backed set of offers. Now to transfer the points at the end of Nov to Velocity for a 15% bonus:

With the Coles stores running so poorly I would be thinking the incentive offers will be getting better. Near our home we now have a lovely new Coles that is set out like a US Whole Foods store. They have very few customers for the size of the store so I take my 91 year old mother in law there with our 5% off Coles gift cards. I still think Fly Buys is a bit of a joke compared with real frequent flyer points but it has improved.
