Apologies but new to Flybuys.

Has there been any discussion on the current offer of 2,000 Flybuys bonus points for $50 Coles Mastercard gift card purchases?

How much is 2,000 Flybuys points worth? $10? There is a $5 free on the Coles M/C. Is there a limit to how many gift cards one can buy?

Edit: Silly question. Bonus points can only be collected once per household.

There's probably some discussion in the Coles Gift Card thread.

Coles gift card offers

2000 flybuys points is worth $10 when redeemed as flybuys dollars. You might be able to get a better conversion if converting to one of the frequent flyer programs connected to Flybuys but the rates vary by which routes you use the points on.

You can only take this offer up once so the most "cash" profit you can make after the fee is $5 in the current offer.

A Coles MC I got last week for 2000 bonus points just failed at Coles checkout. "Card declined". I have the receipt for it on me and it says approved.

Kinda embarrassing, but a CSR is on the phone right now sorting it out.

That was fixed quickly. Not sure what happened. Card was fine, maybe the machine was having a moment

FYI when I click on that link, it 'sort of' logs me into your account, or someone with the name starting with 'L'.

I wouldn't be able to change your details, etc without it asking for a password, but I see your points balance, promos, etc.

Same for me. I have reported the post to protect the members details.

Links have now been removed ...

All fixed now, thanks for the reports.

So there have been a plethora of bonus point offers (like the 4K for spending over $200, or 2K for spending more than $50 over 2 weeks). I know the first was a general offer, as when I was shopping in Coles yesterday, copies of the offer were plastered everywhere.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

2,000 bonus Flybuys points on a number of $50 gift cards including Virgin Australia.

Shame it's a limit of one per household. Think it's time to create a few extra accounts with my Queensland address and investment property addresses. The $10 discount on the VA flight just booked is great.

Your wife and Daughter are now becoming useful! ;)

They were always useful. ;)

But you're right. The $10 off on VA gift cards is an excellent discount for someone who commutes. Not too long and I'll be paying for daughters flights too.

just be mindful that only 1 VA gift card card can be used per booking. also when redeeming them, they don't have an expiry date on them which is required. i had to call and it is 12 months from date of activation/purchase.

I made full use of VA gift card yesterday. I sort of worked out expiry was 12 months from activation. I booked a $91.30 flight in fact I paid $81.94 for the flight.

I'm trying to come grips with the Flybuys "Household" concept. I'd like to sign up mum, dad, brother, wife and daughter to Flybuys and be able to get $10 off each VA gift card purchased during these promotions. Airfares are now obscene. Any saving is greatly appreciated.

'Hi Dr Ralph,

Spend $200 or more in one transaction and scan your flybuys card to collect 4,000 BONUS POINTS!

That's $20 off your next shop when you redeem 4,000 points!

Offer valid at Coles and for Coles online orders delivered between Fri 3 Nov and Tue 7 Nov 2017. Offer only redeemable once.'

$200 is ridiculous. At least Woolworths with their recent $150 spend general offer was being a little more realistic.

Seems they are taking aim at the family weekly shop with this tactic, I easily hit $200 every week with 2 kids to feed. Not sure I should be pleased about that .....:(
