There are plenty of general flybuys offers for bonus points at the moment but I can't find a flybuys website which lists them. I thought it would be a useful resource for AFF members to list some of them here.

I was getting petrol tonight at Coles Express and saw some signs at the pump. "200 bonus points for spending $10 in store" There are a couple of exclusions like gift cards, tobacco products and petrol. Check the signs before you make your purchases. The promotion runs until early July, I think it was 4/07/12.

I rarely spend money instore as I find most items are cheaper elsewhere. If you can find items instore that cost the same price then the promotion is probably worth it, and you'll get an extra fuel discount. The sign said that gift cards were excluded but I don't know if I Tunes cards fall into this category. I guess that magazines and newspapers cost the same from a newsagent and a petrol station. Do Coles Express do mobile phone recharges? Can anyone come up with other useful $10 purchases?

I just checked my latest email from Target.

There is a triple points offer on womens clothing until Wednesday June 6. It excludes underwear, socks and hosiery. This can be used both instore and online but check the conditions carefully for online purchases to see how to qualify.

Got a 250pt offer for $50 spend at Coles = sorry 10% off for $50 at Woolies beats you this time.

Also noted when I popped into a 1stChoice that a lot of wine offers with 100/150 bonus points (including some in the $10-20 range)

I can't see the point of Flybuys promotions. As far as I'm aware you cannot convert points to any FF programme. If you want to use points for travel you can only redeem them with the larger travel agent chains.

At least Woolies convert to QFF

The only use I could see for Flybuy points is if one day you could actually save enough points for a journey overseas and combine it with a Webjet sale. However even for lets say $1500 fare you would need 300,000 points. Many people would rather earn 300k points with QF as they could use it towards a JASA to Europe. The only advantage of Flybuy points use at Webjet is taking advantage of sale fares or last minute bookings which harder to do with QF ASA's.

I agree that QFF points are more useful than Flybuys points but for members of both programs I thought it would be good to have a flybuys general promotions thread along similar lines to the EDR General Promotions thread.

Some of these bonus points offers are only publicised in store rather than sent to all members so I thought occasional shoppers at Target, Coles Express etc might want to know about them.

It doesn't help that the Flybuy bonus point website has gone missing. When they do show bonus points in the Cole Catalogue, most of items with bonus points are not even on sale! I would post more, but I feel nearly all of the bonus point offers by Flybuys are utterly underwhelming I do not bother posting. They have spent millions and millions on promoting the "NEW" Flybuys but they have forgot to keep their website functional. Sorry for the rant, but I would like play both reward programs off each other but I feel Flybuys has catered more for the little old granny who wants to save a couple of dollars rather the serious Frequent Flyer who wants to maximise each frequent flyer point they can earn.

The Target toy sale has been going for almost a week and from this Thursday some of the toys will have bonus points attached to them. The details are in the Target catalogue which starts on Thursday. I don't know whether the bonus points last 1 or 2 weeks. The details will be somewhere in the catalogue.

I have seen flybuys members on other discussion boards asking for bonus points on Target products. It looks like Flybuys have responded finally. I did lots of Toy shopping yesterday at Target and got triple points on all the toys from a targeted offer. I'm also planning on getting bonus QFF points on the Big W toy sale.

I had a quick flick through the Target catalogue starting on Thursday. There are a couple of triple point offers on two ranges of products plus there are bonus points scattered througout the catalogue on specific items. Have fun.

A few weeks ago I was inside a Coles express petrol station. They had several items instore which had bonus points attached to them. This included bread and milk but I don't know how long these promotions last.

Coles has Moro Olive Oil (4L) on sale 2 for $20 (11/07/12) which also attracts 1000 FB points. Good bonus point deal if you need Olive Oil.
Coles of late, has been directing most its attention to their gift card promo.

Gosh I wish Flybuys had hooked up with Velocity rather than Webjet. Would have made it a far more attractive program.

I think that would be 2 for $40!

Yep your right! My typo! Or $23 for 1.

Some bonus points at liquorland.

I am not sure what the wine is worth, but the Corona Beer is $50 at Liquorland and the 500 bonus points represents $2.50c in value. IMHO your are better off saving your money and going to 1st Choice where the Corona is on sale for $43.80c. So even when you account for the 500 bonus points at Liquorland the Corona effectively costs $47.50c versus the $43.80c at 1st choice.

Unfortunately many of these bonus point deals at Coles and Liquorland do not represent value for money even when you take into account the bonus points. As a Flybuy point is only worth 0.5c a point versus a conservative 2.5c a point for a QFF point.

Until Flybuys addresses this poor point value, many people will continue to shop with EDR partners.

Most of the time I only take up the bonus points offers related to products if the products are on special. The only time I take retail price plus points is if it was something I needed to use straight away which doesn't usually go on special.

I use the EDR partners for bonus offers and products I can only get at those stores. I jump between the two loyalty programs partly because there are products I want that only Coles sells.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
