As I mentioned many times...u really have to wonder with this mob sometimes for a problem that has dragged on for over 2 weeks with impeccable timing on certain wines availability

It's the same as Champagne mysteriously disappearing when there is a large discount voucher in play...

Whilst it was nice to catch up with Andreas Henschke at Boccaccio yesterday since AFFW Unleashed a few years ago, and sample their tempranillo (2015 Stone Jar) and nebbiolo (2013 The Rose Grower) for the first time amongst more typical offerings such as 2014 Mount Edelstone, I would have actually preferred meeting Doug Neal at Prince Wine Store's Paradise IV and Ruggabellus tasting with some of the last remaining stock of Dardel Shiraz 2015 ($68) as well as the interestingly different blends of the latter.

Langton's is the main focus of this post and their $55 Confidential XIII is 2013 Toolangi Block F Reserve Chardonnay. If they don't also have the 2015 Block E Pinot Noir for $65, then try The Vine Press at $69.99, else PWS has the 2014 for $40. Dan's still has two other Toolangi chardonnays plus a shiraz as secret selections.

The 2012 Block F Reserve Chardonnay is included in Langton's $330 ($55/bt) Victorian Chardonnay Showcase 6pk:
  • Garagiste Tuerong Chardonnay 2015
  • By Farr Three Oaks Chardonnay 2015
  • Lightfoot & Sons Home Block Chardonnay 2015
  • Oakridge 864 Single Block Release Funder & Diamond Drive Block Chardonnay 2014
  • Bannockburn Extended Lees Chardonnay 2011
  • Toolangi Vineyards Block F Reserve Chardonnay 2012
And for some red wine, this year's shareholders offer has these two packs:

Langton's Classified Cabernet Showcase 6pk $549 ($91.50/bt):
  • Woodlands Matthew Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River 2014
  • Katnook Estate Odyssey Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra 2010
  • Cullen Wines Diana Madeline Cabernet Merlot, Margaret River 2015
  • Wynns Coonawarra Estate John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra 2013
  • Mount Mary Quintet Cabernet Blend, Yarra Valley 2011
  • Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth, Coonawarra 2013
Langton’s Barossa Red Masterclass $145 6pk ($24.17/bt):
  • Two Hands Brave Faces Shiraz Grenache Mataro, Barossa Valley 2015
  • Teusner Avatar Grenache Mataro Shiraz, Barossa Valley 2014
  • Hares Chase Ironscraper Shiraz, Barossa Valley 2015
  • Heirloom Vineyards Shiraz, Barossa Valley 2015
  • Sons Of Eden Kennedy Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre, Barossa Valley 2015
  • Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz, Barossa 2001
Using a $100 Vintec voucher would make the cabernet better value to compensate for the poor 2011 vintage of the Quintet - to reward a fellow AFFer as well, ask one for a referral :)

Also for those unaware, cellardoor.co has these mixed cases as standard offerings available to all members:

Icon Red Collection Sample Pack 6pk $180 ($30/bt):
  • Rosemount Balmoral Syrah 2012
  • Saltram Mamre Brook Barossa Shiraz 2012
  • Seppelt Mt Ida Heathcote Shiraz 2015
  • Wynns V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz 2013
  • Wolf Blass White Label Adelaide Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
  • Lindeman's St George Vineyard Coonawarra Trio Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Wynns Coonawarra Estate Icon Collection 6pk $360 ($60/bt):
  • Wynns John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
  • Wynns Michael Shiraz 2014
  • Wynns Johnson's Block Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
  • Wynns V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz 2015
  • Wynns V&A Lane Shiraz 2015
  • Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Finally, besides free delivery this weekend, receive $50 off $149+ spend at Cracka with MOREBDAY until today, making 2016 Dexter Chardonnay $27.06 after 8.75% Cashrewards :)

Is anyone aware of any Mywineguy vouchers that are floating around?

are you asking because you've discovered like me that a number of their wines have recently become out of stock?

afaik none besides the $30 coupons meant for referrals - pm me if you'd like one of those :)

A friend sent me a message earlier today to ask for suggestions on reds to buy taking advantage of a $50 Cellarmasters voucher (which she got from the Leconfield deal I put her onto). Still hard to go past the Kilikanoon Parable or the Evans & Tate Metricup Road. Anyone else found some goodies?

Correct I was after the Mt Langi Cliff Edge Shiraz but by the time I looked again at mywineguy it had sold out there also.

You can grab the Ciff Edge from Samshvino (use smashsociety code)

also - just used a gift card successfully at Cellarmasters, not sure if its another one off, but worth a try if anyone was waiting on that.

I don't have the email through for some reason.. what's the blurb?
Dear Friends,
I'm holding this South Australian iconic Shiraz for RANSOM!
A short-and-sweet deal held hostage in anonymity (it's so good I'm not even allowed to reveal it's vintage). Just trust that I have (nor would) ever, let you down my friends...my reputation rests upon it.

Langtons 'Excellent' Classification.
"I often think of 'X' as being like the Clare Valley’s Grange..." Anon
"Elegant and effortless..." 95 Points - Anon
"Tremendous depth and magnificence..." Anon
"A very elegant wine..." 95 Points - Anon

To protect the brand, this big name South Australian Shiraz is heavily policed in cyberspace, and watched with a hawk's eye in the discount market (even to my closed database) stopping me from even giving you a clue!

The wine has a very loyal following (over many years) with a lengthy/established track record of enjoyment. Therefore they refused to let me sell this at under $40 if I revealed its name.
Why?

The average retail price of today's RANSOM is around $60 (and even up as high as $70).
The very lowest discounted price I have discovered is $45

James Halliday has never rated it less than 90 points in over 20 years. It has a Langtons 'Excellent' Classification,
is a Multi-Award Winner, and is the 'flagship wine from the family owned Estate.

What more I can tell you?
Nothing.
But what I can tell you...

This wine has never been offered before nor as a RANSOM.

It is not...a 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2014 or 2015 vintage.

Remember...This is the exact same wine (cap, label and juice) as what's sitting on the retail shelf/cellar door for $60+.
This bold, big name 100% Shiraz from South Australia's Clare Valley will be delivered to your door, where all will be revealed.
There isn't a gun at your head my friends...but there is one at mine, should I reveal any more.
Grab what you can...but don't tell anyone where you found it.

First in, first served!

Yep, 2012 Aberfeldy (from GW comment about Clare Valley Grange).

Was $36 last time it was offered, am assuming it's the same this time.

Bargain buy at the moment - If you get in quick the Wynns Cab is back in limited numbers Wynns Coonawarra Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

$50 off the Kilikanoon wouldn't be a huge bargain in my eyes, but I was still happy with the wine. (got mine with a $100 code)

My favorite was the Woods Crampton Mataro, really enjoyed that one, but again not a huge bargain (being a limited suppy of 300 cases though, I doubt you would get it cheaper without voucher. Woods Crampton Marschall Vineyard Barossa Valley Mataro 2015

Anyone else getting an error when trying to apply those Vintec/Langton's codes? Been getting this for a while now - Error: Voucher blah does not exist or is currently not active

Lots of $50 vouchers... I have never received one I don't think.... I have had $25 in the past..

Is there something I am not doing to get these or are they random from email / purchases ??

I am not asking for one, just trying to establish how
