Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

How did everyone go with the Serrat release yesterday? I've picked up a couple of each of the reds, looking forward to trying the Grenache.

I am doing a dry July and so most of the offers lately are not tempting enough for me at the moment.

Was the grenache available yesterday? I missed out on it at pre-release (sold out within 1/2 day) but did pick up some of the other reds

I dont know, sorry. I bought mine Friday, but it was limited to 2 bottles per person.

Strange. Did you purchase last year? Not sure how they decide who gets to order and when/what.

Yep - missed the grenache then too. It was available this year when I first checked the link, but I was working so went back later, by which stage it was gone. All good - like others here I have more than enough to see me through the next several winters!

Cellardoor.co until tomorrow (edit: don't forget about spending $100+ in July to receive a $25 voucher for August):

- Seppelt Jaluka Chardonnay 2015/2016 $15.50
- Seppelt Drumborg Chardonnay 2014/2015 $28

Are these chardonnays worth having/buying?

I already have Cape Mentelle, Xanadu, Stonier Reserve, Oakridge Willowlake, Eden Road, amongst other similarly-priced ones - how does the Drumborg compare style- and quality-wise?

And I’m considering the Jaluka as an alternative to similarly-priced riesling.

What do people think?

:(

I secured a bottle of it through City Wine Shop - the other place (not Qantas epiQure) now has them all available except that :( :)

Hello!

Just a quick question - i'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on Reynella Basket Press - it's popped up in the Cellar One sale.

Thank you!

I bought one at DM based on good ratings on Vivino. Would also love someone's opinion in the event that I should get more :)

Just a quick query to those in the know, I've just received a credit for the Fuddling Cup CS I purchased from Cheaper Buy the Dozen (others may have liked it but I found it had definitely clicked past its best before date) and I can take the money and run or take a chance on some of their other gear. The only reds that interest me at the moment are https://cheaperbuythedozen.com.au/products/hoggies-shiraz-2013 and the https://cheaperbuythedozen.com.au/c...013-kakaba-reserve-tempranillo-adelaide-hills Does anyone have experience of these or indeed anything else from their site? It strikes me that they seem to mostly deal in low-end merchandise if you ignore the few $220 plus dozens like the Kopparossa they have on offer...
