Maybe being put on the 13th floor wasn't so unlucky for me :)
Try the second floor with a worms eye view of the swimming pool. To make matters worse this room had a balcony and I could hear the wind screaming day and night. Not a pleasant stay especially on the Saturday morning when I felt sick.

It must be tied into status as the Ozfest stay has not yet posted to my account.

Mine posted last week (and now I am silver till 2009). Just awaiting the QFF double dip points to appear....

I'm the same as oz_mark - my HHonors points have posted, apart from my AA double dip (to my AAccount). Thanks to dropping from Gold, I got double points - because of that, we spent up big...and got stay credit for 2 nights - even though it was an award stay. Don't you love Hilton for allowing this...

Hilton Racing is a special tie-in Hilton has with F1 Racing.

As part of it, they created a website called "Hilton Racing".

You can subscribe to Hilton Racing for free, and get a fast track to Hilton Gold:

"Complimentary Hilton Racing card - also a Hilton HHonors card with a fast track* to Gold VIP status in just 4 stays"

Hilton Racing

PS, if you're concerned about the validity of the HiltonRacing domain, you can also access it from the following link on the Hilton site Hilton Racing

I have tried both links and cannot get either to work.

"You have not completed all the necessary fields"

I have left the username field blank. Is it compulsory to have a username to access Hilton Honors? I prefer to continue to log in using my Hilton Honors membership number.

You need something in the one of the Company Name/Address 2 fields. Not sure which one is the missing one. A - in each works.

Not sure if username etc is compulsary.

Also, note the 4 stays is within 90 days.

I put the suburb in address 2 and Sydney in city and this was OK.

I left username and passwords blank but still got error the passwords do not match. So I just typed in my HHonors password.

Within 85 days I should have 1 stay at Embassy suites, 1 stay at Hilton and 2 separate stays at Scandic. Am I then HHonors Gold, as opposed to HHonors Silver, for 12 months? Is this the same as HHonors Gold VIP?

Is it 90 days from the date of signup, or "in a 90 day period"?

Either way, I'll still make silver between now and next year...just one more night!

Challenges tend to be within 90 days of signup...

JohnK, all sounds right to me. Just remember to document everything you've done (screenshots of the website etc). You never know when Hilton might have a stuffup and not give you the challenge. Also note that you should see the challenge in your "Rolling Tier" for Gold on the HHonors website.

Congratulations. (assuming it works for you)
Thanks. I certainly hope it works although I don't think I will get much use of the status but you just never know what may happen....

Thanks. I have email confirmation of enrolling in the challenge and have kept a copy of the website.

JohnK - my understanding (as was told somewhat harshly on Flyertalk) is that the membership runs to end April two years after qualification:

Qualify between Feb 2007 - Mar 2008 - status until APril 2009
Qualify between Mar 2008 - Mar 2009 - status until April 2010

For example I will qualify for Diamond based on base points in July 07 with stays in Hilton in Nov 06, May 07, May 07 and July 07 and with future Hilton stays in Sep 07 and Nov 07 and probably Feb 08 and Mar 08 - phew too many hotels!

So in July I will get Diamond and be Diamond until April 2009. I should then (depending on what I tweak for early 2008) have Diamond extended to April 2010... and I didnt think I would get toptier in a Hotel chain...

That sounds good. Getting fast tracked to Gold is good enough for me. But still as I mentioned earlier I don't think I will make much use of the status. As a self funded traveller most Hilton properties are out of my price range.

Didn't happen automatically after the required 4 stays in 90 days. Called them yesterday and they said that there was no fast track challenge on my profile. As soon as I mentioned that I have the Hilton Racing email with the challenge conditions I was automatically given Gold status.

ANY promotion I am enrolled in with Hilton is documented carefully. They stuff up too often. I have a 8 email long paper trail of trying to fight to get some points correctly credited as part of a Hotel bonus offer. In the end, I sent PDF's of the hilton website and that battle was won :) All throughout the email chain, they were telling me that "We can't locate the promotion on your account" or "yep you're signed up to a different promotion" or "Your points credited correctly for your stay" etc etc. Very frustrating!

Glad you got it sorted :)

When I have had a problem with hhonors I have emailed [email protected] and that has always got the issue resolved.Unfortunately on reaching diamond the promotions dry up.Not one received in 3 years. The major benefit is in the awards where as a diamond I have always got what I wanted including 6 nights with Paris Hilton along with stays in Fiji and next month at the new Hilton Molino Stucky in Venice.
