Another data point:
Received an email from SQ yesterday with the subject:
"Boost your KrisFlyer miles with Amex - plus discover new partners and more !"
And at the bottom was the caption:
"Last Chance to transfer with Citi
Citi Rewards points can only be transferred to your KF account until 16 November 2025.
Don't miss your final chance to boost your KF miles before this partnership ends and enjoy more rewarding journeys."
NAB really ought to publish a complete notice about the changes in their entirety.
The already published (incomplete) notice of changes says refer to the website for full list airline partners (or words to that effect) when you log in. That information isn't there.
16 November is only 3 weeks away.
16 November is now 5 days away.
Yesterday I received an email from Citi saying the migration to myCard is happening on 24 November, but nothing about the benefits.
Somewhere buried in the documents published, Citi (NAB) says that they will communicate information in one or all of three ways: regular snail mail, email and on their website. I take that to mean that there will no more communication about benefits changes and it's up to us to look through every single email, every letter and and every word on the website(s) to work out how we are affected. Of course the mycard website which they tell us to refer to for information is still not updated.
So with that in mind I have cancelled my Citi prestige.
It took several half hour sessions, and they finally agreed to pro rata refund my annual fee which was charged 23 September, even though I pressed very strongly (escalated) for a full refund of the annual fee.
Of course they did everything to claw back every single cent they could but at the end of the day I just wanted out....
When I look back now I am amazed at the whittling away of the Prestige benefits. It's not even a shadow of what it was 10 years ago.
I recall reading somewhere that Citi is handling the transition for NAB.
I get the feeling that maybe Citi is under instructions from NAB to not concede anything and to just screw every cardholder over.
Sayonara and good riddance.
