Isn't it the 58 business, 36 Premium Economy, 270 economy config from this page:Onboard Seat Maps for the Boeing 747-400ER Extended Range Aircraft

Yep that looks like it. When I clicked on the QF8 link on the booking page, it shows me the seat maps for the 747-400, not the ER, so that would explain why I couldn't find it.

Decisions, decisions. Do I go upper deck, or stay down stairs for a quicker exit and therefore quicker transit to the F Lounge??

edit: 14A it is :)

I was in 5J sin-bne recently and it's a great seat, I'd recommend 5J and an extra drink in Flounge :)

I can't wait till Friday! :)

Are there any dare-devils amongst the AKL trip group?

I'm thinking about doing the SkyTower Sky Jump (see SkyJump! Auckland) on the Monday morning before flying back Monday afternoon and as well as the ridiculously cheap industry rate they've offered me, they've also extended an offer for one only friend or family member to join me at the child rate of NZD175, just thought i'd see if any adrenalin junkies might be keen.

TG
Not likely.

I'm happy to watch though :!: :D

Bugger. Looks like QF8 has changed from the original "F sold as J" config. When I booked 1A there was no 1B, but now I see this

Looks like J seats to me, although I can't find this config anywhere on seatguru or the QF website.

Might be time to head upstairs.

Also, 1B better be a shadow, otherwise wtf with someone selecting that seat when the rest of the cabin is open??
...

Take 5J - best seat in the house for a solo PAX - you have the Skybed MkII on a new Configuration.

58 Business; 36 Premium Economy; 270 Economy*

I am sooo going to be living vicariously through you fortunate attendees this weekend - I think the refresh option will be on auto repeat for this thread. We expect photos and commentary please...

I too shall be very jealous and must resort to living vicariously from Beijing.

Be sure to share a little of the fun here or on Facebook. I'm sad that I can't make it :(

Which reminds me, I must add a data pack to my NZ iPhone so I have internet access during the trip! :)

To anyone that already knows me well enough to have my AU mobile and wants to add my NZ number to their address book - it's the same as my AU except replace +61 422 with +64 224.

eg:
+61 422 123 456 becomes
+64 224 123 456

Who is the official trip report writer?

That would be me and anat0l, I will also have some data for New Zealand for those all important on the spot commentary.

As a Hilton Diam, I should get free WiFi at the Hilton; assuming I can connect more than 1 device, I'm happy to share my PW - for obvious reasons, I need to know you, and you'll have to ask me in Akl in person:)

I'm taking my DSLR camera to the lunch so I'm happy to put my hand up as the "unoffical" photographer? I love taking photos of food!

Awesome - I was going to bring my DSLR, but I have 10 days of travel after AKL, and only bringing my carry on bag, so no room, and DONT want to carry it! :)
