Accor Plus Membership Discussion

The standard 20 nights. Quick to take your money weeks before renewal but cough at delivering.
I signed up via the QBR promo on the 24th. 20 nights posted almost immediately but still waiting for the 3k ALL points and 10k QBR bonus. But the Ta&Cs mentioned 30 days for those.

ALL issue rather than A+, but booked a stay last night and the 'use points' option was proposing 3000 points increments rather than 2000 points. Did this change recently?

I also saw this the other day when I made a booking. Maybe if you have a large points balance and have a large booking it proposes 3000 to speed things up a bit? Otherwise 2000 is still an option as at today.

I've noticed this recently as well, but it seemed to vary depending on the hotel and/or the room rate.

The redemption rate is always the same so...

Also charging back CC when the status nights haven't immediately credited at the start of the month is extreme. Are you short of the money or something... IME it always works itself out by mid-month.

This seems plausible. Hotel was Mercure at Sydney Central and booking was several nights on a flexible rate including a weekend just before Xmas, so no bargains available. The ALL website suggests you can redeem from 1,000 points on Hotel stays, with different minima for package deals and private homes.. Section 10 of the T&Cs, about redemptions, has an impressive collection of inconsistencies and dead links, but some highlights are here.
At the hotel, Reward points can be used with a minimum of 1,000 Reward points, entitling Members to a discount of 20 euros on the price, all taxes included, of accommodation or on-site expenses. As an exception, Reward points can only be used starting from 2,000 Reward points (equivalent to a discount of 40 euros) in venues located in France and from 500 Reward points in hotels located in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia and Taiwan (equivalent to a discount of 10 euros). A maximum of one million Reward points can be used at the hotel for the same stay.
but then later on
up to 1,000,000 Reward Points can be redeemed in multiples of 2,000 Reward points on the ALL.com website and app when booking.
I made a dummy booking for the same room at a similar rate for one night. The website didn't offer the use of points at all, an annoyance I've encountered before. The APP did offer the option of using points upfront with a minimum of 1,000 this time. This was on the same "member app offer" rate and the same room type for a similar price.

The end result appears to be the minimum you can use upfront when booking will depend on the vagaries of ALL's app. And the minimum the app offers appears to be related to the dollar value of the booking itself. And the website page about redemption says one thing and the T&Cs says others.

Cheers skip

On October 1st 2025, the Accor Plus program changes to ALL Accor+. Please discuss that in the following thread:

Overall, I would argue that for the most part the recently announced changes to the Accor Plus program are a net positive to the program.

For one thing you get a discount that applies across the globe, not just in Asia Pacific properties which can be great if you are visiting Europe. This has been a sore point for many here, as we are precluded from signing up for the voyager program to get said discount.

Second, you get 10 extra nights credited to your account which can make it that much easier to get to Platinum (now you need 30 nights instead of 60), which I think most Accor connoisseurs would agree is the status level to attain.

Third, the elimination of the Stay Plus benefit with the 2 buy one get one free voucher is in my mind a net positive. Anyone who has ever used a Stay Plus certificate will tell you the challenge it can be finding a hotel to use those certificates at. For instance, I tended to use the StayPlus at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour and would need to book 6-8 months out for any chance of finding availability. I suspect (although I could be mistaken) that these new vouchers can be applied to any property at any time, meaning that I wouldn't have an issue booking a weekend stay at the Sofitel at any time (ideally during a Red Hot Room sale). I would rather have a couple of BOGO coupons I know I can use than one where it is a struggle to get good value from it.

Lastly, the change on the discount on dining is mixed. Under the old system, yes having dinner with your partner was always a great deal with the 50% discount. However, if you were dining by yourself or were dining with several people you are likely better off under the new system. Certainly this new system is easier to understand than the old one where you need a degree in Applied Math to figure out what the discount would be at various group sizes.

Will there be some people negatively impacted by the change? Absolutely! If you are the type of cheapskate who bought Accor+ just for the dining discount with your partner and to use the StayPlus at a super expensive hotel, then you are absolutely losing out on those changes. But I suspect Accor has done their research and realize this impacts a tiny fraction of their clientele.
