Not many but I'm talking business days, Mon to Fri. The CP Darling Harbour is 7:00 am every day as are several Sydney CBD hotels. I've researched it a lot.

On CP Darling Harbour, think highest hotel floor is 8, with pool and gym on 9, and then the residential tower above (with some weird apartments that you can look straight into from the pool area)

Booked: 1 King Bed Standard
Received: 1 King Bed Premium City View (1 day before, received 803)
Amenity Offered: Drink (1) or points. Took drink. Hotel bar also has 4-6pm happy hour inc $12 margaritas which is super cheap for CBD.

Checked in around 2.30pm and received 803 - a more squarish room overlooking Bathurst St. Hotel shape is a bit angled so every room a bit different and most long and slender. Suspect the best views from 06-08 which should look towards Darling Harbour and the W.

Quite a modern and reasonably sized room for recent construction. Some weird pillow spray tucked into duvet. Two aluminium cans of water with a filtered dispenser opposite lifts

Decent pool that gets afternoon sun and has a fair number of sun loungers.

Parking is $65 overnight, and breakfast on L1 was $40 on the day for a mixed hot alacarte, cold buffet.
Some rates include breakfast but only seem worthwhile for couples if not Diamond.

I was on Level 5. My room also looked down Bathurst St. I did have my car with me, but parked at my usual spot which is nowhere near $65 (I went in after work) and a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

I mentioned that my welcome amenity points hadn't arrived in the post-stay survey and apparently they're following up. Not expecting anything to show up

If you like having hands, and using your hands to operate tactile things like light switches or turning taps on and off, then reconsider this voco
Getting up in the night? You will have to fumble for a recessed profile button panel and risk blinding yourself at 3am as you hit the main light switch instead of the night light
Want to adjust the water temperature in your shower while its foggy with condensation? Grip on to the large chrome dial that becomes extra slippery. Did you expect to shower or poop in privacy? There's no sheer curtain in these rooms, only thick blue velvet curtains (sheers are in the bedroom). The Antipodes amenities are lovely and smooth

Booked standard double at Crowne Plaza Changi and at check-in was thanked for my loyalty, asked if a King Bed would be ok and when said yes upgraded to a runway view Junior suite on the top floor. It was massive. 2pm checkout also granted immediately.

Nice! Reminds me a bit of junior suites with a TV on each wall between rooms. If you operate the TV remote in one room it also controls the TV in the next room! I get that happening in junior suites in the HI Potts Point. But is that a folding/sliding door between the two rooms?

Im the opposite I like this hotel, beds are comfy, location is very convenient and love the free all you can drink sparkling water.

I havent had issues with the light switches or taps, find it nice there are powerpoints on the bedside tables.

The one thing i dislike is the Antipodes soap/shower gel the aroma is too much.

A nice alternative to Crowne Plaza Changi Airport for a 2d/1n short stay in Singapore, about 15min drive by taxi from the airport.

Katong is the Nyonya/Peranakan area of Singapore and it's reflected in the room decor and furnishings. Next to Roxy Square and it's less than 5min walk to Marine Parade MRT station on the new TEL (brown) line which currently connects to the downtown area and will eventually link up with Changi Airport MRT station around 2031.

Shout out to the Baba Chews restaurant downstairs who did a great Nyonya themed breakfast. I think they're a separate entity but is affiliated with IHG to service the Indigo breakfast guests as well as cater for in-room dining. Received 20% off dining under the current Asia Pacific dining offer that runs to the end of 2025 as well as 100 bonus 'Dining Points'.

I've listed my travel costs below, in the end I wasn't saving that much compared to staying at the CP Changi Airport but it was for the experience and something different.

TRAVEL COSTS (all in SGD, bus rides were on EZ-Link card):
- Bus from outside Marine Parade MRT to Changi = $1.89
- Taxi from Changi T3 to Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong = $25.50
- Taxi from Hotel Indigo to Bugis Junction = $13
- Bus from Bugis Junction to Hotel Indigo = $1.59
- Taxi from Hotel Indigo to Changi = $17.50

Received: 1 King Junior Suite.
Amenity Offered: Took the breakfast.

Haven't stayed here in over a year as the voco is more budget-friendly, but I really needed to be near the Skybus, could take advantage of my Ambassador benefits, (mainly the 4 p.m. checkout, which I managed to extend until 5 p.m. so I could finish work), price was reasonable, and there was decent cashback.

The breakfast buffet seems to have more Asian options such as congee. Turndown service doesn't seem to be automatic, however this could be because I was in a room that wasn't marked as Club InterContinental, as with the King Premium Room I usually end up getting upgraded to.

Holiday Inn Express Little Collins Melbourne. For some reason was in an accessible room on level 10, changed to "the best" king double on 31. Drinks and points offered. WYSIWYG, Clean and tidy, no frills.

Crowne Plaza Canberra. "Upgraded" but to a room I always seem to get. King double but with a park view and above the tree line. Last upgrade was suite below the tree line. Drink or points offered. No complimentary anything in the room except some pillow spray. I would have expected some water! DoubleTree in Darwin (next hotel) had complimentary water. No IHG in Darwin.

Used to be, the doubletrees were Holiday Inns and the Hilton was the Crowne plaza. IHG used to have a staff training centre in the expo centre. Owners (The Bergers )had a falling out and moved their hotels to Hilton, inc the HI in Cairns.
