Reminds me of when I was a little snapper and the Concorde came to Perth.
Few broken windows, lots of noise - great fun!
But the wife reckons her video is good, so I'll work on that.
The video wasn't that good. The take off is totally missing for some unknown reason. But my first you tube vid is here, if interested:
YouTube - Qantas A380 Landing in Adelaide
As my first you tube vid, I really cut it down in quality and only exported as an mpeg1, I should check if there is a file limit and maybe upload the avi.Not the best quality video, but it sure gives a feel for the experience.
You should post a warning - the related video clips on YouTube can eat up an easy hour or so!
Some more pics
The second to last pic DSC_2660.JPG really shows how pinched the A380 fuselage is just aft of the main wing.
Not pinched - the fuselage itself is pretty much the same cross section from aft of the coughpit to forward of the tailfin - it's just that Airbus products use a bulge around the wingroots to hold all sorts of extra stuff than doesn't need to be pressurised. Like the main gear. Boeings tend to have a "cleaner" design.
I was also impressed how massively curved the wingroot is in that pic.

So any chance of a quick visit to CBR?
All to do with power to weight ratios. I'm sure the A380 would be relatively light for it's visit. Is is certified to CBR? 747's have great difficulty getting in and out of the place. AF1 needed to have the landing lights taken out on Bush visit.
