I was just about to post as well! Maybe the wine will change in the next hr, but i found it very average. If it doesnt change i wont be ordering anymore .

Did it change sufficiently to go again? Bought 1 bottle but yet to try, planning for over weekend.

Nope, not for my palate anyway. Other people might differ. I found it had a very strong eucalyptus taste on the finish.
I am still a very amateurish wine drinker though.

have you tried one yet Dr?
My DM here told me he reckons he has 200 out the back!
Normally I'd have waited a few years before trying a 2013 wine, but I though given the price of this and the potential to buy some more that I'd give it a go.

Tonight I had a choice of a 1998 Wynns Black Label or one of these with the group I was with. After some persuasion the group agreed to try the Clarendon Hills.

So tried it tonight with 2 other wine connoisseurs (people's who's opinions I'd rank very highly). Their view was that this was quite good. When I told them the price they each asked for me to get them 2 cases of it each.

It is a lighter style, with a little pepper.

I'm in for 10 more cases as of tonight.

Wow, that's impressive. I think I'd just get bored drinking 120 bottles of the same wine, no matter how good it is.

Cases of this are 6 bottles. 6 x 10 = 60, not 120. The store I bought from originally has sold out. Had to get these shipped.

Don’t worry Daver6 I’m sure Ralphy will happily charge you $115 at one of his restaurants in a couple of years time

Didn't know I had become a restaurateur. Wonder how many restaurants I own?

60 bottles is still probably too many for me (never thought I'd say that!).

I think Birdyzone's comment was in reference to a comment I made in another thread about the ridiculous mark up on wine at a Melbourne restaurant.

I would think it was in reference to this

Well I cracked this month. Bought a 6 pack of 2008 Elderton Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon. At $50 a bottle I couldn't resist.

But at just 6 bottles purchased for 2018 I'm hoping a trend has been set.

Harassed by a cafe owner that I've been selling to for more stock and a request that I no longer sell to anyone else but him. Supplied 100 bottles, but declined the request.

i'm far behind from that kind of quantity for 1 particular wine,4 cases of 6 pack are the most i've bought so far, but that was long time ago. max of 1 dozen nowadays.

I bought one bottle....bit annoyed that my free shipping from Dan's has expired so I had to do a store pickup (don't recall ever buying the subscription, but it has been free for at least 2 years)
