Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just a warning for Cashrewards users, don't use any Cracka rewards code when you buy, you won't get the Cashrewards if you do. Bit of a scam really, use $5-$10 Cracka rewards and lose $20+ Cashrewards.
They’re cracking down, or rather, enforcing T&Cs that they’ve previously not enforced.

In particular, they won’t pay the cashback if using a code not listed on the Cashrewards site.

Anyone have a link to the latest mystery wines on Cellarmasters?

They’re usually a good option when a $50 card comes in the mail but they don’t make the non mix mystery cases easy to find on their website.

Last few have been Dandelion reds and good buying at c$10 post discounts

I found this link "Hidden-Vine" seems to give all current CM Mystery wines. One new Reisling there, but wait for price to be adjusted, quite possibly the 2017 vintage of Heirloom Eden Valley Riesling. Pretty sure last mystery red i got was Heirloom.

Just returned from Dan’s with 4 doz Lanson 200ml botts:

569086F7-297C-4AA2-BD6C-3D61C703F82E.jpeg

Current pricing on Dan’s site:

3666EA72-A406-497F-91AA-1447CDB44D88.jpeg

End price was $9.50ea - again special tks to qaz for alerting to a special deal that BWS Balwayn had couple weeks back where they were offering these for $10.50ea - called Dan’s and they agreed to a price beat price $10.00ea and with Gift 5% it further reduced price to $9.50ea.

Again just further evidence that patience is rewarded - deals do come along and when they do you take full advantage.

Six Regions Shiraz Pack - $120

Some good wines in this mix.

The Sorby Adams is the best of the bunch (DM says it's normally $150 on its own - https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_455930/sorby-adams-the-thing-shiraz-2015). Previous vintages have been spectacular.

Dan's have the retail value of this pack listed at $282.98, but if you check the link for each of the bottles it's actually $314.94.

UPDATE: Cashrewards tracked at $12.64. Add in 5% off for cash rewards and this is great value.

Hi all, I am keen on this offer but it is Delivery only. Do you know if Dan's uses Australia Post or is it some other private Courier? I want to use Parcel collect so i can pick up at my post office but Parcel Collect only uses Auspost and Star Track.

cheers.

Depends on how keen you are to pick up :).. Even on "delivery only" I have done instore pick up. You select the bundle or items and go to check out.. select pick up/collect option and change the store locations to the 6 or 8 stores I would be willing to drive to and hope all the items are in stock at 1 of the stores

Only if a store has stock of all the items, it will allow store pick up

EDIT : sorry, misread your original post. my comments were to avoid shipping if possible

They choose who to use for transport of your goods.

To ensure Australia Post, call them after you place your order online. I did this with my order last night and arranged for Austpost to be used. They indicated that it would have been by a courier if I hadn't called.

Just on this and FYI to those interested.

I received a tracking notice today telling me that my parcels were coming via Endeavour Delivery rather than Australia Post. Contacted Dan's and they tell me that they have no record of me requesting Australia Post for delivery. Told them that Parcel Collect is going to fail. They say when that happens the parcels will go back to them and they will then try Australia Post.

Seems the system is far from fool proof.

I did ask what I could do to avoid this issue in happening again. They said as soon as I place the order to contact them and request that Australia Post be used. Obviously this is what I did do and it failed.

Nexday/Endeavour is part of Woolworths as is Dan's, BWS, Langtons etc so no surprise.

JD Cellars Secret wine #140 is most likely Thompson Estate Chardonnay.

I was quite impressed with their Cab Sav but never tried their Chardonnay. Vivino reviews are not bad.

May be of interest to some. I was just checking out the Wynns sale at Cellardoor.co

They have Wynns lower tier wines for $12.50. Not sure how the 2017 'The Gables' is, but last few vintages wern't to bad.

I noticed they add 'BONUS Spritzed Cans 250ml (24 Bottle Case)' to cart at no extra cost

Could be any one of these I suppose?

TWE has released six wines in cans, all available in 250ml with a RRP $24 for 4 pack/$7 per can.

• Squealing Pig Spritzed Rose
• Squealing Pig Spritzed Pinot Grigio
• T’Gallant Spritzed Prosecco
• T’Gallant Spritzed Moscato
• A’tivo Rose Spritzer with a twist of raspberry
• A’tivo Crisp White Spritzer with a twist of lime
