Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

No, export label could include any wine in their range, including hand crafted. Usually just labeled according to regulation where the export was destined to ship. Usually you can tell what the export labels are based on the quoted rrp.

The export shiraz is most likely Regional Series Pertaringa Shiraz

I've only had the Handcrafted Lagrein from VM a while ago and I sent it back because it really wasn't my cup of tea unfortunately, The Nero d'Avola gets a good rap from Dr Ralph have you had any experience of it (or other reds on sale)?

It's their weakest offering (unless you really like MR Shiraz), wait for the Matrix, the Cabernet or Chardonnay which regularly come up as Secret Selections.

*Edit - in the interest of providing an alternative option; this is the Leasingham Classic Clare Cabernet 2013, which I think is a cracking drop for $30:
Secret Selections Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Hi cryptocadian, if you are still browsing the thread the Wills Domain 2014 Cabernet Elevage has come up in Secret Selection here - Secret Selections Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2014.

It's a far superior drop to the Shiraz, and although 2014 is not my favourite (I think they have dropped off some of the stalkiness) for $30 it's insane value.

All the best

Hey wozza if your out there!
As a sucker for aged Cabernet, Jd Cellars have Mitchell Sevenhill Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 for under $30-
With hindsight, do you think this is an average Cabernet with decent age or something of quality that has found its happy place?
Cheers in advance

Quite interested myself at that price Chonka! I've not tried it but it doesn't stack up too badly. Does that deal end today?
Not sure. I just came across it as I received an email from mycellars promoting it. Ending up at dan murphys doing price comparisions.

Dan murphys is cheaper at $14 a bottle ($84 per 6pack) with free ship, also extra 8.5% off with extras. Just to much wine out there

Sorry my bad, I was looking at single bottle price, I should have done the math, you're right there is too much wine out there at the moment! Decanter don't exactly go overboard: "The nose seems fudgy and tired here but the supple textured blueberry fruit on the palate brings it through, yet the alcohol pokes through at the end." 87 points but the Oz reviews are very glowing.....
