My better half is a pharmacist and she has said it is easily the worst flu season she has seen since being a pharmacist (10 years) and studying (5 years)
I have had a very light cold for about 3 weeks now and it's getting frustrating. I guess in light of all the flue going around I should be thankful and stop complaining.

I am in the exact same boat with a very sore throat for over 2 weeks. I am starting to be thankful that's all it is.

I'd take a sore throat any day over the 2 x 6 week infections I've had this year.

Without turning this into a contest I have had glandular fever 3 times in the past 12 months. I will take a sore throat any day of the week.

Well, if the training is working you will know how to resuscitate yourself.

Now its frostbite training! In Australia. I guess if I had an office on Mt Buller it would come in handy but not really in the Sydney burbs.

Ive had a slight dry cough for about 2 months now. Usually only happens when the temperature changes but Ive never been asthmatic. I also wonder if its more habit now as I can stop myself from coughing if I can feel a cough coming. Its very annoying.

Point taken. I had glandular fever in the 90's and didn't know I had it. Doctor mentioned years later after a blood test. Must have been that time I was sick for ~3 months with the flu/cold and I didn't realise.

Yeah it's not pleasant, and thats not even my worst spell from it.
It is a bugger to diagnose because you think it is just a nasty flu unless you get fatigue for a few months.

I never knew El Al existed - or that it was a QF partner that I can book classic awards on - is this new?

Is the fatigue similar to chronic fatigue?
