Have a very low spec laptop and it's interesting to see some of the issues.

Go into Flyertalk last night and all the ads on the website load but none if the Flyertalk content. Took ages to get to one of the forums.

Went home for lunch yesterday afternoon to try and pay Jetstar price beat booking. Startup Hotmail and the ads load immediately but I could not load the email message from Jetstar. Took 10 minutes to open the email.

I guess we know which is more important.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Finally after 2 years, 6 months and 25 days; I am hoping to arrive home tonight to view the finished product. God, even an female elephants gestation is quicker than our Retaining Wall and Fence has been erected.

Now have a couple of weeks ahead with hose and beer in hand, watering the new back and front yard turf. Then who's up for a BBQ at our place

Will have to put a plug in for our builders, who have been patient beyond reproach. Great bunch of lads - a fantastic Site Foreman, Site Supervisor and the MD of the company.

Adverts do churn through processing time and memory on laptops. Have you thought about an ad blocker?

I managed a bout of Hand Foot and Mouth last year - not common in adults. The most miserable I have ever been. Nothing but warm water with Manuka honey for nearly 4 days. Severe pain with hot or cold. Swallowing was unbearable.

I do not wish it on anyone and can appreciate why kids are so miserable when they have it. At least I could comprehend it would pass soon.

Yes! I had the same in 2013. Terrible stuff. I was overseas and it took a while for the doctor to diagnose.

Last game for Fremantle Dockers at Domain Stadium this weekend. We had better rush home to see it.

Lucky its a Sunday game; 2:40pm start you might be able to make it on time,

I hope the Dockers can win but I don't like your chances.
Don't rush.

They'll lose.

Who are they playing anyway :?: :D

Need someone to recommend me a good ad blocker that's free. Some of the ad blockers around conflict with other software or websites.

I hate Google ads. They recycle the same rubbish over and over. Mum wanted some Olay night cream which I bought for her from Big W online. Now every second website has Olay night cream ads plastered all over the website.

I assume almost everybody rcvd the Qantas / TorFX email this morn? Their comm rates are reasonably competitive and they will price match so no lose situation. I will prolly give them a run this aft.

Could not find their rates .... how competitive? Comparable to transferwise?

Use private browsing as a cheap way to be not picked up this way ,,,,,,also there are adblockers in Firefox. Also VPN can make u anonymous.

Ghostery, addBlock, noScript are a minimum. And clean cookies after sessions. Use Chrome or Firefox with no stored history and cookies. See the threads of arguments/discussions on AFF's banning of AddBlock for more info and suggestions.

How about - Adblock :D (chrome extension)
Don't use Chrome. Since I want to keep running Vista for now it's Firefox. Everyone you talk to yas a different recommendation. ;) AFF has some restrictions and from memory the Qantas website also had some sort of issues to name a couple.

Looking good. Give me an excuse to book some flights ;)

After a few lovely days in Brisbane freezing again this morning. I think it's 11 degrees but the windchill gets me every time.

Gee Major thanks for blowing my cover. I had told everyone I was an apartment building fairly close to LAX.
We are just back from the US and will be flying back to Perth this afternoon.

I knew I was exhausted but 11.5hrs sleep is crazy.

Going to prepare Tassie Mures marinated salmon for dinner. RooFlyer suggested it and hubby liked it so much, he bought the marinate.

There's no need to take any advice, JohnK, even from industry professionals. Why change the habits of a lifetime eh? :)

I take advice all the time. Which advice is the right advice though? Adblock in Firefox?

See reply above. Personally, I thought the advice was clear and concise and well meant. All three plugins and no stored history or cookies. Oh and you can add FlashBlock as well. And if you are super keen, add a proxy connection to hide your IP and bypass restrictions through something like TorGuard - there's a plugin for that as well (FoxyProxy Basic). GIYF.
