I am a new SG, flying mostly domestic Y.
The biggest benefit I was looking forward to was of course access to the lounge.
Having visited it about a dozen times over the past week or two, I am very disappointed in the selection of meals provided. The lowlights include a broccoli and mushroom salad one evening, and even a kale and minestrone soup tonight. Infact, the best meal I have had to date is a ham, cheese and tomato toastie.
Has it always been like this? Am I just the unlucky and/or fussy with my meals? Are they doing it as a way to cut costs, knowing that not many people will be coming back for seconds (if they try it in the first place)? How does the food compare to the virgin lounges?
Do you enjoy the meals that they serve?
