PER-MEL you will as I want to try out the A330 service, knowing my luck it will be the old EK bird

I also need a few USA flights and 15% off makes MEL-LAX-MEL very nice, even if it means putting up with the coughpy VA "lounge" in LAX

We got put behind the frosted sliding glass door for half of our recent terminal 3 LAX pre-departure time. The TV remote in there says "VIP remote" so I guess it's the VIP room. I think they put us in there because we had kids, and they didn't want us to disturb other pax. You can dim the lights and stretch out one of the flat couches. Might be worth asking the Lounge staff if it is available. Lack of a shower is terrible tho.

From the ausbt story it mentions quite a few partners, but Citibank isn't one of them.

Would this 15% bonus apply to citibank too?

Though it does say "All of Virgin's banking partners – including American Express, Westpac, ANZ and the Commonwealth Bank – will be taking part in the promotion." Having said that the equivalent promotion last year did not include Citibank! Guess we will see in next day or so.

As much as I don't want to, I have about 300,000 points sitting with Commbank on two accounts that I'll transfer across to Velocity given they can't be moved anywhere else except Air NZ.

As it stands now I just want to burn all my VFF points and have nothing to do with Virgin EVER again (unless JQ takes over all QF routes)... I am done and dusted with Virgin and hope to never ever fly them domestically and will burn my 2 million FF points on flights to/from the USA.

I thought you hated VA yet you're transferring more miles?
