Discounts finally appearing when going to book flights!

However SYD-LAX from 1st March onwards doesn't show any discount J fares ? Is that normal for Virgin to have different priced J fares ?

EG
91600 & $115.16 and then
79900 & $94.23

?

I can't find any MEL-LAX-MEL for less than 91600 now ?

15% sale doesn't seem to be showing for Feb/March/April

The importance of keeping track of what you have. I'd been waiting to click over to 15000 on my CB (which had been the usual in my last 3 transactions). Only when I went to redeem have I found out they've switched me from Signature to Rewards and I need 20k (with worse conversion too)! A bit p***ed but I guess also partly my own fault for not keeping track!

Definitely cancelling the card now, not sure of whether to try for the extra 5k points or just cut my losses and leave.

To avoid getting really ticked off only call them to transfer your points. It keeps your blood off boiling point!

Thanks Cove. Yes I will give them a call. TBH I'd been thinking about closing the card down anyway, as it is a remnant of my PhD student days when it was as good as I could get. But it's always worth trying.

Good news for me with a heap of points on the CBA card and on the Suncorp card. Last time neither had the offer. A while back I would have hesitated transferring them to VA but being SG for the last three years has changed that. A good plan for them to comp me originally. QF is missing out but I'm sure they wouldn't notice.

I transferred some Westpac Black Altitude points to get the 15% uplift. What it means is that I get 1.725 points instead of 1.5 points on the cobranded Amex per dollar of spending which is lovely.
This reloading of points gives my son the third choice for returning to Perth from Los Angeles.

FWIW, I rang Citibank yesterday around 4:50pm to move 30,000 rewards points across. They were in my account by 1pm today along with the 15% bonus for a total of 23,000 velocity.

What do you mean by "from Signature to Rewards"?
If you were using a Citibank Signature card, you're still on the 15000 Citi :10000 VA points. If you're now on 20000 Citi: 10000 VA points have they downgraded you to Citibank Platinum?

Here's the thing, i have a big chunk of Citibank Points that i cannot use to pricematch to QFF anymore, and dont know what to do with it.

Could some experienced AFF members comment on whether its worthwhile dumping all my Citibank Rewards points to Velocity Points?

I am based in Perth, WA and travel extensively to SIN,KUL,HKG,TPE,SZX,CAN,SHA,MFM.

Cruiserette this morning completed o/w J Redemptions for the 2 of us LAX-MEL Sep 2014 - total pts reqd after 15% discount = 168K instead of 194K - total pts required to be transferred to secure same with 15% bonus abt 145K (pls don't quote me to exact no. pts I wasn't there - suffice to say quite a sweet deal the 15% both ends).

With the promotion running out today it is a great opportunity to get in early and book yourself a trip away to see your team.
