But you want to have access for more than just the platinum member?

I don't understand what you mean.

"International Lounge access is also provided to one guest and up to two children (aged 4-17 years)[SUP]35[/SUP]who are travelling with you on the same flight" means that I can take 2 kids into an International Lounge.

I was slow typing. Yes there is the child access policy as well but in a very hard to find place. On the page where I found the lounge access info I posted there is no mentioning of the child access policy, not even in the notes.

But you looked at platinum access in QF lounges :( And you are not travelling QF

I simply navigated to Fly > At the Airport > Airport Lounges > Find out more about eligibility and access to our lounges. I think this is fairly straightforward and logical to navigate to and not hard to find at all, in my opinion.

As a WP I looked for what I am entitled to. That led me to the information I posted. Should I then try to find out if there is contradicting information in another page?

Please read the part in bold carefully:

Platinum members may access the following lounges when your next onward flight is on a Qantas[SUP]39[/SUP], Emirates[SUP]39[/SUP], Jetstar Airlines[SUP]4[/SUP] or oneworld operated and marketed flight[SUP]32[/SUP] regardless of class of travel.

  • Qantas Business and associated lounges in more than 28 key Qantas destinations around

  • oneworld lounge access in over 600 oneworld airline lounges, including First lounges where available, around the world when flying a oneworld alliance airline.
  • International Lounge access is also provided to one guest and up to two children (aged 4-17 years)[SUP]35[/SUP] who are travelling with you on the same flight.

yes, these are the conditions for QF lounges. But that is not what you are attempting. Unless misunderstood, your real enquiry is lounge access in an Emirates lounge??

You are taking the base QF lounge access policy, then adding their (QF) child policy, and inventing a combined scenario that fits your situation.

The QF partner position is regarding platinum access. the child policy is specifically QF lounges. You want to blend the two.

Where does it say they are conditions for QF lounges?

It covers QF first lounges, QF business & associated lounges, oneworld lounges. If you click on "worldwide lounge locations" you will find out DXB is one of them.

As you are flying Emirates, have you looked what they offer to QF members?

Nothing I have said is rude. You insist on quoting the QF web page which is *clearly* about QF lounges. Please, you are travelling EK, what does their website say to you?

Unbelievable.

Why don't you have a look at Emirates' website and let me know.

I am trying to find out Qantas frequent flyer benefits not Skywards benefits.

No, you are trying to find out what your QF status gets you with EK. But you insist on only looking at QF benefits flying QF.

I am not claiming that the QF website is perfect, but when you post a question and I (as others) attempt to help but that advice does not suit you, and you attack me, then I give up.

International Lounge access before your flight
It is all confusing. Actually very confusing but winfred I think you missed one key piece of information that renders those benefits listed below in your post as null.

Footnote 39 said:
39. Qantas marketed flights are flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket.

Footnote 39 next to Emirates would suggest it should be a Qantas marketed flight? Your EK flights are not Qantas codeshares. Apologies if I am adding to the confusion

Yes you have a point. Footnote 39: Qantas marketed flights are flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket.

It seems that Qantas trying to say that the Emirates flight needs to be a Qantas marketed flight. It looks like the person drafting it forgot to do it probably. But my main frustration was flying CX and can't get my kids to the CX lounge as mentioned in my earlier post. I called QF from the lounge and it took 20 min and a supervisor to tell me I can't get my kids in and the wording was misleading as they thought I should be able to in as well.

I think the OP has a point, lounge access rules are quite convoluted and the QF website is hardly a bastion of clarity. Yes the information is there but it's definitely not that easy to find without a concerted effort.

Apologies for calling someone thick.

I would like to find out the definition of "attack any other individual". Is the following post an "attack" on an individual?

[h=2]Re: WP travelling on EK (not code share) lounge access[/h]
I think their website makes it as clear as it can be for anyone who reads their website, and doesn't try to read into it extras that suit their personal needs.

If people don't bother to read their website, how on earth are they meant to make it clearer? A "basic thing" is that airlines do not allow kids in for "free". That Qantas has bent this for our benefit somehow gets twisted against them???????
