Don't have high expectations re amount of leopards. We saw one, from a distance, up a tree (in Yala) and otherwise did not really enjoy the 'safari' experience. Saw more in Africa.
Think it is luck of the draw & the costs are minimal compared to Africa. We missed seeing them but our driver has some great photos so hopefully CMak is lucky

We are in St Petersburg on 26/6 where Argentina play Nigeria, but hopefully will be able to catch AUS v DEN at a fan site.

The trip planned and booked for October 2018
4 week trip starting in ASP.
ASP > DRW on the GHAN with father
Overnight in DRW then overnight in MEL
Then the big solo trip begins
6 nights in KUL via a 12 hr transit in PER
6 nights in NRT (touring Japan) via a 22 hr transit in HKG
6 nights in HNL
Then traveling back to MEL via a transit in Fiji

What I'm doing during my stays in each country I have no idea, I'll just book things as the year progresses

That's possible! Australia - Peru will be 17:00 local time and Nigeria - Argentina 21:00 so you can watch both.

We have a Toyota Prado with a rooftop tent. We are expecting to take approximately 17 days. We definitely wouldn't take a trailer as we did a few wells last year when we transited the Gibson desert and saw how cut up some of the dunes were

Thanks Milboo
We only saw 2 leopards in Africa (fleetingly) and 1 in India so we are going to a few parks in Sri Lanka including Yala and we are staying at Leopard Trails with the hope that we will be increasing our chances

Good that you are not taking a trailer. Apart from it being brutal on anything but the absolute toughest of trailers, they are not permitted on the southern section, necessitating an exit loop east through Carnegie Station to Wiluna.

The Prado in our group handled it very well. We took three weeks, with two 2-night stops, so 17 days should work quite nicely.

Definitely grab a ticket, it will give you multiple entry to Russia Visa free and also free train travel between host cities.

I am trying to convince my girlfriend that a Russia trip is in order :)

well, you have to be prapared that it's mostly between hub Moscow and hosts. Direct between regions very limited for now at least.
So for Socceroos games you may be required to travel between Kazan and Samara and Sochi via Moscow for free option.
But that's only 30% WCup tickets sold and going forward they will add more according to demand.

Enjoying reading about everyone's plans - though it makes me jealous. Especially those heading to the World Cup.

Currently a long weekend in Brisbane, a week in London catching up with friends, and a few trips to Perth. Plan to add some trips for a few days to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, in that order of preference depending what sales turn up on SQ. Would like to do a week or two on the US east coast as well, ideally in DL Comfort Plus for the SC, when another sale pops up.

Of course, all dependent on work - I'll earn VA plat in February for the first time, so am curious to give it a run and see what it's like (I expect to be disappointed!).

I think you need to plan that far in advance when you are looking at redeeming premium cabin popular routes (eg European summer).

Ours will be US, probably later in the summer, but definitely in F.

Looks like Vancouver in late May will be added probably on the way to Sardinia in early June and I'm seriously thinking of Rally Argentina April 26 to 29th.
