What's your favourite aircraft type?

The A330 is nice on domestic flights but how on earth do they get away with them on long haul, sad for Px but the poor flight crew, no decent rest areas for them, can't be good.
Yes, but that's still all about the cabin fittings. There's no reason why an A330 can't be properly configured for long haul international ops.

A380 by a long way
I don't like the 787 or 737 that much especially in Y.
A330 is good domestic and Trans Tasman however long haul I would prefer to be in J.
I am looking forward to the A350 when that comes depending on the final set up and inflight facilities.
The 767 was always a favorite.
A320/321 is like the 737 a workhorse but I have found them to be more comfortable typically than a 737.

My favourite experiences were flying upper deck on a 747 (SQ in J) and then followed by sitting in the the nose section of a 747 (TG F). Both were very private and intimate.

The A380 is nice, but also has plenty of downsides particularly if you're travelling in Y where boarding/deboarding takes an eternity along with a long wait at baggage claim.

I think it has to be the 747, a timeless classic. Here is a photo (mine) of QF's last completing a lap of the airport before heading off into the sunset. Clicking through will take you a few more photos.

If we are going on photos then I guess my two favourite planes, based on the pictures in my hallway, would be the very same 747 and a Twotter (excuse reflections on the glass)

A380 by far. 787 as LH, definitely not a fan. 737 worst as far as a passenger (probably makes good money for airline and passenger comfort not an issue to them)

Strangely enough, it is the A380; it's quiet and smooth. After that, it's an A350, and I appreciate the technology and engineering that goes into these machines. I arrive in better shape in newer machines.

Until March this year i had not flown in a B787, and have now had a chance to compare it with the A350. I still have the A350 well ahead, from both the general comfort/cabin pressure/jet lag perspective, but also from the open space (eg in AY 350 in J) where they do not have centre overhead bins.

Booked back on the QF A380 shortly which I haven't flown on for probably 8 years and it will be interesting to see if the new fitout brings it up the list.

For me back when 777s were nine-abreast in Y class, and back when asking for an exit row seat was free and a super-insider travel tip. I remember flying an Asiana 773 Sydney-Seoul's brand new Incheon airport with about 3m of leg room. One of the few and definitely the last decent flight I can remember...

It is depressing thinking about the space and amenities Y used to get, was better than many premium economy and even rivalled or beat aspects of modern J on some flights....
