Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

I'm guessing a chicken cutlet (or crumbed chicken) topped with tomato salsa (maybe spicy) with melted cheese and a couple of jalapenos, accompied with some sweet potato fries?
Don't forget the measly serve of spinach

Options were a pasta with chicken and mushrooms I think or the beef with mustard gravy and polenta. Went the later and al though it wasn’t a huge portion of beef it was tender and delicious. All up a pretty tasty dish and would order again. The usual cheese and crackers on the side and then chocolate basket afterwards. Ethan was fantastic again and although a flight time of exactly an hour meals were served promptly and drinks proactively topped up. Managed a couple of vodkas with the meal and then as we were about to start our descent was asked if we wanted another in a takeaway coffee cup. Why not 🤣
Excellent flight and service

the ticket cost no matter how high or low only entitles you to to arrive at your destination.
That's not what companies sell when they sell a business class product. If I spent 10k on international business class flights and the seat didn't recline and they forgot to load on any alcohol or the business class food and only had economy class meals then to be frank it wouldn't really matter that they got me to my destination, because they wouldn't have provided me with the service that I had paid for.

Meal selection is absolutely a "nice to have" instead of a "must have", but to say that by paying more for business class you're entitled to nothing more than you would be flying in economy (getting to your destination) is just justifying poor airline treatment and excusing a race to the bottom.

I just had the same meal this evening: beef with mustard jus, creamy polenta, and a side of vegetables. I agree, the beef was quite tender and tasty.

The alternative was potato gnocchi with leek and mushroom ragout and roast pumpkin, with optional chicken. From what I overheard, it was a very popular choice.

Chicken with leek and potato. Very tasty!
Pirate Life pale ale kept getting topped up too, which was welcome on this 6hr 15min flight ... headwinds!
