Vinomofo Wine Deals

Thanks, grabbed more Reaper which I really like.

I’m keen to try it but struggling with the higher price point compared to the previous vintages they’ve offered:

2021 for $25ea
2023 for $18ea

Peter Lehman Stonewell 2016 - $39.95 in a six pack - giddy up!
Ripper, I'll bite.
St Hugo Signature looks sharp. Any thoughts?

There has been a lot of St Hugo (various regions and vintages) coming through lately with big discounts. Have also seen it heavily discounted in Dan's. I'd guess there is more to come, so no need to jump on it now. The Stonewell on the other hand, you won't see that again at this price.

I also bought St Hugo Shiraz 2020 (not from this VM sale) I was encouraged by reading this article

And I also believe that Huon Hooke (one the best Barossa reviewers) rated it highly. I had a bottle. Maybe tad on more elegant side which I thought would be unusual for 2020 Barossa - but nevertheless very happy with them. St Hugo CS 2021 is not too shabby either - bought them together.

Blows my mind that Peter Lehmann Stonewell 2016 is still available at $40 nearly 24 hours lately - just like I was surprised how long Grant Burge Meshach stayed available at $60.

Makes you wonder what happens from here for these old Barossa stalwarts. Obviosuly the secondary markets will now be flooded, lowering price expectations over time (why pay RRP?). I guess they will just peddle cheap wine to the masses and move away from making premium wines.

You gottta respect Tobreck, Hentley Farm, Henschke, etc for staying out of this discounting and fake RRP sandpit (helps when the owner is a billionaire).

Good times ahead for those of us who still like this style, it seems.

It blows me away that it was available at this price to begin with. Remember though its identity is masked and not everyone will know it’s Stonewell. The discount of $120 down to $40 in percentage terms is beaten by many other Vinomofo offerings, Cask 66 for example.

Somehow I think it is a better wine than cask 66.

I think they had about 900 to start with, now down to 600 cases left.

I managed to get $25 GIFT25 applied via my broker on Wednesday when I got an email from her.
