Can anyone recommend a 6 pack white for quaffing?

Somewhat telling that this thread can't give you even one rec after 24 hours. I am personally totally exhausted with VM's feckless offerings. There are plenty of reliable merchants offering as good or better at the moment without the annoying VM BS. The only advantage to a VM purchase I can identify at the moment, is their return policy. I won't buy from VM again unless I have a decent discount code and free shipping. If it never happens, c'est la vie.

I think you need to add some qualifiers. Because pinot gris/grigio, riesling, sauv blanc, & SSB will usually be cheaper than chardonnay. Having said that, I noticed yesterday that Sorby Adams chardonnay was less than $13/bottle. But I couldn't find adequate winemaker's notes about it, so I've (so far) passed.

Without wanting to veer too far off track, does anyone have any recommendations of such other merchants who may somewhat regularly offer decent deals on Champagne and sparkling? I have had extremely minimal luck finding much that looks good value on VM over the years.

Depends on the price point(s) you are interested in. I don't usually buy a lot of Champagne or Aus sparkling whites, but since the chains have started up with codes and free freight again, I've bought more this year, usually member offers when a code is current, mostly in the $50-$90 range, including some reasonable vintage Champagnes.

While Winestar may not be everybody's cup of tea, I'd suggest you sign up to their e-mail list. They have had some good champagne offers over the last few months, including Bollinger at $80, Laurent Perrier at $70, and Jacquart Mosaique at $50. And their daily wine deals can sometimes be exceptional. Also, keep an eye out and about for Lanson Black Label, which seems to be almost given away (sub $50) by various purveyors from time to time.

Thanks both—I'll head over to the other thread, and sign up for Winestar!

Edit: As to price point @redbigot I'm generally interested the less than $150 per bottle end of the market. And I have also seen most value in recent months buying from Dan's at the $70-$90 mark.
