Yep, better than all but one other last year, that being the shelmerdine merindoc 2010 shiraz.
That is my taste world of course but I ranked this one better than Tomich I-777 which I adored, better than a filsell, go figure as I look through my tasting notes I see a few others last year, Amelia park reserve, churchview all of them, zema cabernet 2009, tyrells vat 1,Lehman mentor Cab 2010,Fox creeks 2013 shiraz, Hill of Grace 2001, Crikey have I gone mad?
This is a purely subjective assessment of course but I call it as I see it, or rather as I taste it. Yes, the Fox Gordon cabernet is a stunner and I bought 2 cases. The cab/temp is also a beauty DB.
I just hope the 2014 Hungerford Hill Shiraz lives up to my expectations otherwise it may have to go back to Gundagai and the tuckerbox.
