Vinomofo Wine Deals

I too have bitten the bullet. The pace of today's forum totally had the momentum of a speeding train that couldn't be missed. Let's hope it's as good as we all hope

Ditto. Similarly to Chappy's earlier post, I first had the 2010 Mitolo GAM at a work lunch and it was the search for more that brought me to the Fo back when it was in the Welcome Case and I joined on the strength of that. If today's purchase is half as sweet as the 2010 GAM, we're all in for a treat.

I'm in also! Looks like there will be plenty of reviews here in the coming weeks! Let's hope this is winner for all unlike the Tomich which seemed to disappoint many.

Re: Mitolo Cantiniere

The Cantiniere is made from the Chinese block (GAM $58) and Sandra's Block (Angela $35).
The sum is greater than the individual blocks. Is that logical?

Sure it is - selected parcels of fruit from those blocks, different barrels, different winemaking, could all lead to a different (and hopefully better) wine.

Re: Mitolo Cantiniere

VIM Seppelt St Peters 2013....geez I wish I had kept my credit!

Nice - what's the deal for that?? EDIT just saw Dr Ralph's post.

On a side note, has anyone had a taste of the 2005 De Bortoli Reserve Release Syrah yet? I'm hanging out to try it but work is getting on top of me!

Seems today's VIM deal of the Seppelt St Peters Grampians Shiraz 2013 for $59.90 adds evidence to my earlier claim.

I realise it's not available and was the 2012, but it was cheaper at DM'S

Yes it is definitely not a bargain. I paid around $50 a bottle for the 2012, but I did have a few hundred in credits which would of made it a bargain. Would not get the VIM deal otherwise.

Looking forwaed to the reviews of the mitolo in the coming weeks!

Forget the value of vinomofo wines! Become a bit disillusioned at spending over $30 a bottle with the quality vm regularly produces around or under the $25 mark.

Got my first VIM email today! Boom box must have tipped me over. Pity it wasn't as exciting as this 6 pack we all seem to have jumped on

Just had another red from the Ace Pack (August 2015):

Jeanneret Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec 2013 Westward We Went

What an excellent mid-week drinker. It needs some time to open, not surprising given the varieties and age. It went from GI Jane meets Ribena on first opening to High Tea with Helen Mirren on the second night! [First impressions aren't what they seem when it comes to young Aussie wines, it would appear.] It's a very classy, smooth affair, with lovely red and black fruits (not much else though), and a medium length finish.

It's perfect for the discerning vino consumer monster, like me, created by the ridiculous deals of the Fo. There's no way I would have purchased this wine, absent the Ace Pack, but glad I did. If it comes up separately, I might buy a six pack to help wind down after the commute.

3.5 Vivino stars from me

Anybody else rate this one? Or even others in the Ace Pack?
