Vinomofo Wine Deals

wait i'm confused, is it the anarchist? if so any tasting notes?

i got a $25 off code emailed to me that i have to use by midnight, i'm tempted for the anarchist if it's actually good.
if its just another forgettably young shiraz i have 100+ sitting in my cellar already.
Thanks for your loving replies in advance.

There are no notes here.
CT has one review: https://www.cellartracker.com/wine....DW2108521_1_Kd8b60d31323d8c0823fa286a8a683d1b
Vivino has 21 ratings: https://www.vivino.com/wineries/anarchist-141307/wines/mt-shiraz-2013

No mainstream reviewers. Little pedigree. But cheap. How about you get some and tell us if it's any good?

Technically i personally didn't get it, i run a couple accounts for various family members and friends who trust me somm skills to find them bargains on the regular without waddling through the fluff found in bottle shops. Out of three accounts, only one received a code which i think they said was via a text message. The account in question has bought a lot of wine but isn't a VIM, they haven't bought in a while though so i may be VM trying to lure them back into regular purchases again. Knowing VM it should just be a random thing as well.

Cheers AC, Appreciated.

To be honest i had some in a random case last year and didn't write any notes, so either i enjoyed it so much i forgot or it was nothing special.
Judging by the Vivino reviews, the 95 points from a wine show i'd say it wasn't special. I'd buy a case to confirm but i'm overflowing with young easy <$10 Shiraz's.

It's random mate. I received the random $25 off about a month ago, and someone who only signed up 2 weeks ago received this latest round (while I didn't). I wouldn't try to read too much into it...I think their marketing team are sporatic with their offers.

I must say the Allouran merlot almost tempted me to break the price barrier and grab a case but alas it has finished it's run for now, the review by Phillip White is such an enticing piece of writing that I could nearly taste the wine leaping off the page! d r i n k s t e r: POLE-AXED BY BLUE POLES VINEYARD

I doubt it's sold out - call them on Monday

If there's ever something you want from Vinomofo but it's not on their website at the moment, just call them - they rotate the wines on their website for freshness :)

Grabbed some of the Allouran using a credit to get for $20 - very keen to try - anyone have an opinion on it?

If I didn't think that it was good, then I wouldn't have [post=1504720]posted[/post] [post=1505004]about it[/post], though I haven't had [post=1411623]12-15 cases worth[/post] :)

Good pickup. Further research (Bob Campbell website) lists it at 35 NZD.
A VM import markup perhaps? Makes you wonder about markups for other imports.

Couldn't hold back on the Haselgrove Cul Tor although the descriptions of the Willunga 100 nearly swayed me, I'll certainly be curious to dip into it when it arrives (and offer up my unbiased and unexpurgated review)...as always
Interested to get your thoughts on the Cul Stor. I picked up the 2013 earlier this year which was a bit different for me at first, but I really came around to it, and now I love it. I also grabbed the 2015, but haven't yet tried it.

Relieved to hear that the 2013 became a thing of joy, i must admit that I'm eyeing off the 2015 with nervous anticipation, not that I think it'll be cough but I'm not familiar with Haselgrove's product and the Cul Stor has very little internet presence that I can draw inspiration from so....
Will certainly conduct a W&D tasting and pass on my humble opinion once I'm in possession!

Sandalford Prediville Reserve perhaps?

Bit of a mark up if it is. 94 from HH @ $60, 90 point TWF. Cracka wines looks to be $50/btl.

Seems to be value here.

No need to stress Whining & Dining, just cracked a bottle and on first taste this is the goods. Its young and needs time but there's plenty in this one.
