The 2014 Schild Estate or the 2013 Glenlofty Shiraz Viognier?

I can't vouch for the Schild Estate, but the Glenlofty Shiraz Viognier is quite a nice quaffer. Here are my tasting notes for it:

A lifted floral bouquet thanks to the Viognier. Luscious plum and cherry fruit give a concentrated and juicy mouthfeel. Mild peppery spice, fine graphite and a hint of old leather provide some complexity and a long finish. Powdery dry tannins and bright acidity hint at good cellaring potential. A nice little quaffer, very easy drinking.

Thanks, DB. I opted for the Glenlofty. If the Schild had been the GMS I would have been on it like a seagull on a hot chip.

Hey AFF,
I've been a reader for the past few months, thanks for all the awesome advice thus far. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on this YV Pinot? https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/mof_-secret-deal-pinot-noir-2010b

Thanks again!

2010 Mandala Prophet Pinot Noir?

The Mclaren Vale Associates Grenache wasn't my cup of tea... not as full as other MV grenaches that I've enjoyed, and a minerally almost metallic aftertaste. Drinkable, but I'm not keen to struggle through 11 more... so back they go!
I may be late to the party - but if you still have these - and are anywhere the Northern Beaches in Syd, I'd be happy to buy them off you.

My fiance (now wife) and I had the Sidewood Shiraz 2013 at Maximilian’s Restaurant in SA last year, and I swear it was like drinking liquid flowers. Never before had I smelt or tasted such a perfumed red wine - it was very different but in a good way. The restaurant is a cracker - one of our favourite dining experiences ever.

Mmmm, yes very nice indeed, thanks for the recommendation WWM

Anyone know what the Black Market Pyrenees Shiraz 2015, a sister shiraz to the Mule, but sourced from pyrenees, is likely to be? Got offer via email.

Apparently been offered before - as early as February this year - maybe someone has ordered and can tell? Otherwise, I'd ask VM. I suspect an Innocent Bystander of some kind.

Thanks AC, and yes it will be innocent bystander, as they said it was a sister shiraz to one 2015 shiraz i purchased earlier this year. I have only purchased one 2015 shiraz from them this year, and that was the mule.

Ps. I tried online searching, but couldn't find any from them in that price range.
See below text from email:
Earlier this year, you picked up a gorgeous Black Market Shiraz 2015, crafted by an iconic Yarra Valley producer with grapes sourced from McLaren Vale. ..... that the same producer also crafted a sister shiraz using grapes from the Pyrenees in Victoria. It's not the most on-trend region for shiraz, but the wine is incredible - even better than the Vale counterpart, we think. Trust us, we're as surprised as you are.

We've managed to snag a few more cases of this Black Market Pyrenees Shiraz 2015

Innocent bystander offered two mules before selling to Brown Brothers. One was from McLaren Vale the other from the Pyrenees. FWIW I have ordered one case.

Yes, same here, seeing as free delivery thrown in, decided to take the plunge. So if you are right my mclaren vale will have the pyrenees relos dropping in. Do you think two mules make a racehorse at any rate i'll try and stable them together for another 12 months or so. Although i do champ at the bit when new wine arrives...

BTW, excuse my manners, Thanks Rug. Was busy doing weekend wrap up chores, do appreciate your info.

No problem with manners. As to 2 mules make a racehorse unfortunately I doubt it. The info on the mules and Known Pleasures was on their website until it was announced it was sold to Brown Brothers. Happy to help thats what this site and members are here for.

Link or details needed, please.
some get this black market deal via email, some don't - might be a cracker. There are a lot of shirazes around in this 12-15 range at the moment, but like p plate drivers, you only notice them when you look for them.

the innocent bystander syrah from a few years ago had a blend of yarra valley, and Pyrenees fruit, plus a dash of viognier. Possibly this could be a made for the fo wine?

Innocent Bystander have their 2015 Mule Pyrenees Shiraz for sale at $17.50 a bottle! I am a big fan... ‪#‎innocentbystander‬ ‪#‎pyrenees‬ ‪#‎shiraz‬ ‪#‎coolclimatewines‬ ‪#‎coolclimateshiraz‬ ‪#‎gooddrinking‬ ‪#‎australianwine‬ ‪#‎leonstonewine‬

I do remember seeing the Pyrenees Shiraz on the website (before the split of the two brands) so I don't think it's a Fo only wine.
