Vinomofo Wine Deals

Just a note on today VIM offer.

The 2012 Parous is from Barossa not McLaren Vale like the 2010.

I tasted it at a wine show earlier this year and didnt enjoy it as much, still quite good though. I am a big fan of McLaren Vale Shiraz so take that as you will.

If someone in Syd is thinking of getting some I would love to buy a bottle off them so I can judge it better.

Was offered this one and pulled the trigger a few days ago, I really liked the 2010 so wasn't a hard decision...

Has anyone tried this or other vintages of the cabernet of the alpha before? And which alpha is it? I saw one variant at $49.99 out there, so is it really such a steal from its rrp? its tempting, but the price is top tier for me.

I haven't tried it, but the James Halliday review was interesting, in that he said he preferred its $30 sibling (the Titan, which he gave 95 points), even though he says it is "a very good wine". That seems to rather damn it with faint praise in a way, and with a review like that out there, you can see why they might have trouble shifting it at $75. Even if others might have exactly the opposite preference, it would feel hard to part with more than $30 for it. Then again, it certainly is beautifully presented if you're looking for a gift.

Its a nice Shiraz too But I dont need 6L of it....

I have had two of the magnums of this 2005 Vintage and have another two tucked away. They were really, really nice and still going strong (and tasting pretty young):

Anyone know what the BM Victorian 2013 Chardy is? They have obviously edited the description to include new info that it won a Gold recently.

A bit of a puzzler this one. Possibly Witchmount?

Edit: Just read the description, and "truly boutique producer" means it's probably someone else.

I cracked a 2012 GL Shiraz tonight and have decanted it since 6pm... If I leave it for tomorrow afternoon do I need to cover it? Should I put it in the fridge? Not a bad drop from the fo :)

I would cover it - should last till tomorrow. I wouldn't keep it longer than that.
