Vaccine Rollout in Australia - personal accounts.

It does depend where you are. A large hospital's ED would be more likely to get things done quickly. And if the troponin was raised then monitoring would have already started.

Just wanted to share a quick follow-up to my previous post, in case it may have dissuaded anyone from getting the jab. My symptoms deteriorated a little over the last few days, so went straight to my local emergency clinic. A second ECG appears to be more suggestive of Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, which, despite the coincidental timing, has no correlation/causation to the jab. Stuck with a heart-rate monitor over the weekend and then off to a cardiologist next week. Some mixed emotions at at the moment, pericarditis hasn't been ruled out entirely and perhaps would have been the favourable diagnosis, but will be able to report back sometime next week with some more certainty (hopefully..).

Well done and thank you to everyone who continues to get their jabs!

Maybe getting the vaccination brought to your attention a health risk that otherwise you may have shrugged off? Best wishes.

I have no idea what any of those are, but all the best.

Good to know nothing to do with the vaccine. It can be tricky to diagnose as the classical ECG signs can be intermittent so often missed.
In the long run if you did have continuing symptoms it can be basically cured by ablation of the abnormal electrical channel.

Anyone that was fully vaccinated at Sydney Olympic Park still having issues with their Medicare records updating?

My second dose is on the record but not my first. I called up about a month ago and they gave me a link to a form to fill out which said check your record in 10 days but still nothing after a month... wondering if this is a common experience?

I wasted over 2 hours on the phone talking to Medicare about a similar issue, and still no resolution.
The ATO, in comparison, are a delight to deal with.

I called the NSW Health Vaccination Helpline first who gave me a link to this form here: COVID-19 Vaccination record query

The form said thanks for submitting, check your record again in 10 days.

10 days passed, called the NSW Health Vaccination Helpline again to ask what to do - they gave me the number for the Australian Immunisation Register and told me to call them.

Called AIR - they said NSW Health have had technical issues, and gave me a more direct number for SLHD vaccination support number.

Called that number, the agent checked and was able to see when I had my doses in the NSW Health system and they know the form said 10 days, but unless you're travelling overseas imminently there is nothing they can do and just wait for them to get around to it 🤷‍♂️ and now it has almost been a month.

2nd AZ this afternoon at 12 weeks so now fully 5G. Pity there is no coverage around where I am.

All done through a regional GPRC. They are very efficent and on both visits there have been plenty of people taking it up. It's done with appointments so no hanging about waiting. The vaccine certificate was available about 3 hours later. I am very happy to be fully vaccinated.

Second AZ done at Noarlunga on Monday. No side effects so far - not even a sore arm.

Vaccination centre is in the failed Masters building (don't think it even opened) with a huge car park.

When I had my first vaccine the car park was almost empty and on Monday it was almost full and lots of young people in there having their vaccinations.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but my first AZ dose (all I've had so far) is now showing on my Immunisation history as "AstraZeneca Vaxzevria" on the Medicare app. So if you'd had AZ I'd suggest downloading your Immunisation History and Vaccine Certificate again to have the internationally recognised name showing.

N.B. The immunisation history pdf in the app and on the full website shows the type of vaccine taken. I checked with a friend who has had both doses of AZ. Only the vaccine certificate that can be downloaded from the full website shows the type of vaccine taken not the certificate in the Medicare Plus app or the one that can be added to Apple Wallet.

Medicare app on my Android phone now shows AstraZeneca Vaxzevria for both doses. Successfully downloaded updated certificate showing AZV to GooglePay.

Is that on the certificate or just the immunisation history that shows all the different vaccines Medicare is aware you have had?
