this is interesting. They are not going to lose out. some of us probably get a good deal 30KQFF for as little as $40. I put my QFF burning value at 2c/pt, this is 600$ return on 40$ +30 min time investment. Surely there will be a large group of people who are paying for this.

Just joined up @ $14.60 pm, after i finished the quote the system asked me to call to go through further info. 10 mins on the phone confirming my quote answers & i was done.
Chose life cover & income protection.(born in 73)

can't complete it online. It will give you a quote reference number. Just need to bite the bullet, listen to the bulldust and go through with your exact quote.

20 minutes of me saying "Yes" in an increasingly robotic tone of voice.

All up took about 45 min. Most of that time spent on the phone reconfirming what I'd states online. No reason to call me as they required no extra information. Premium was $23 for life+tpd at minimum cover levels.

Jump onto this thread 30 mins ago and at the same time doing a quote on Qantas Assure.

Before I can even hit submit, I got a call from Qantas Assure asking if I needed any hell from them.

Funniest, in the context of the call, typo I have seen for a while ;)

It gives people like me who has just endured 20-30 min of hell listening to a suggestion that you may die soon a good laugh. Indeed the agent I had was very well trained. He was helpful by not laughing although he surely knew that i was just after the 30KQFF.

Busy over at the TAL call centre! I just got in at just under $17 per month. Life and TPD on minimum cover.

Did anyone else have to go through all the overseas destinations that they are likely to travel to...? I expect given the nature of this forum that this would have come up a bit for folks here. I couldn't tell them where I'd be going (places, dates, durations) in the coming year, so gave detail from the prior 12 months - at their suggestion. They're looking for DFAT's 'Reconsider Your Need to Travel' and 'Do Not Travel' countries, I believe.

Cheers,
Matt.

Do you know any professional advisers ? ... he or she may be able to assist :)

I know a couple on this Forum...but are they looking for these type of clients (churn and burn :D)

I've got enough cover even with the tempting $30K (but at what price for me ;)). TAL underwriters

Honesty killed me. It was all getting too difficult with too many intimate questions about my health. Qantas already knows enough about me; I don't want them knowing my full medical history.

Correct, there are general exclusions for claims paid if you travel to these countries (or intentionally commit suicide within 13 months of policy commencement) as well as a number of other standard exclusions. See Page 15 "What isn't Covered" of the PDS here: https://www.qantasassure.com/life-insurance/pds

Oh, that's right - I forgot about Page 15 of the PDS, which I definitely read... ;)

I left this at the last minute and did a quote online just then however it asks me to call them and tomorrow is the last day of the offer

In case you forget, someone may call you tomorrow to enlist you. They called me after I have already signed up.

Cheapest I could get it down to as a 43yo was $30/pm. Not looking forward to the 20mins on the phone...

Well, I am going to miss out :p They wont give me cover as I am menopausal and under investigation  Tried hubby, but because of his age, he is not entitled to more then life and the quote for $100,000 cover was about $170 per month!!

Think I need to find those 40,000 points I need somewhere else....

Just got another follow up call from them and politely told the person I spoke to that their quote was way over the top (price was similar to what RoseAnna mentioned above) and that maybe I wasn't the right demographic that they were looking to insure. 30k points for $50-100 (over the 3 mth period) total would have been good but not for what they wanted...

At least I got some points from Assure for using my Fitbit.

Did everyone receive a welcome pack by email? I applied last Wednesday for both myself and my partner and was approved according to the system, however only my partner received a welcome pack and her policy is the only one that shows up as a charge on the credit card. When I call in to inquire they say my policy is also approved but couldn't explain why there's no welcome pack nor why there's no charge to my credit card.

Out of curiosity, why bother giving any accurate details of your medical history? If you are just after the points wouldn't you give them enough info to lower the quote price?
Obviously if you claimed there would be a potential issue but who is actually going to keep it after 2 months?

It's s very good ethical question.

I know a long time ago QFF partnered with ANZ for a similar deal and at the time I took your reasoning as I was after the points, not a claim.
