I have never flown a worse airline than tiger airways, and I have flown well over my fair share of bad airlines.
In summary, I have never experienced such, poor customer service, inconsistency in pricing and approach to hidden costs and delays, delays, delays. No to mentioned plain blank rudeness shrowded in company policy.
I for one will never fly tiger ever again and will explain my experience to anyone who asks.
Some examples of issues experienced in my retrn flight to Melbourne:
- weighed my bags at home all under the baggage allowance, on weighing them at Sydney airport they were 2kgs over per bag
- ended up paying $25 total charge for 18 kgs
- was told there was no surcharge paying by credit card
- on return from Melbourne with no extra luggage my bags now weighed 11kg each
- was told I has to pay $50
- when I asked if I could remove items from my bag to carry on, I was told I could but I would have to queue again and possibly miss my flight
- so I go to pay via MasterCard now I'm told there is a surcharge of $5
- I questioned the inconsistencies, I was given the line that it's company policy.
Sorry tiger airways, your inconsistencies cannot be company policy, and your staff lack of responsiveness to these issues is simply not good enough.
Please save yourself the hassle, effort and the dissapointment and pay a few extra dollars to fly a better airline.
